I want split playoffs also, but not under the auspices of the IHSA.
Wait, now I'm confused. All publics are whiners because there are some advocating for split playoffs (it is in their nature after all), but now you are in favor of split playoffs?

While I have you, what is the nature of all private school people? Or it's not fair to generalize private school people? Just public school people?

Don't waste your time, it doesn't matter what the situation is, he's always the victim.

Probably my least favorite conference due to it being locked. Then we have to try to extrapolate Huntley results to see how CG and PR match up. Maybe they can open it up with the new playoff changes.
Locked conferences are secure!~

What is the true percentage of non-boundary schools playing football compared to publics competing in the sport? Often reading the "6 public, 2 non-boundary" words, it can be an oversight to favor awarding 1/4 of the state championship trophies to a school segment number that mOn top of that, potentially going through an extra round of games in the public split may not be equitable.
I'm not arguing for or against this kind of split, but I find your comments somewhat confusing.

You seem interested in being equitable and in not favoring either public or private schools in a split, but do I read you correctly that you think that having two private classes may favor the private schools because they have far fewer numbers of schools playing football than do public schools? If so, then the only possible alternative is one class for private schools. Where's the "favor" in that when private schools with less than 200 students are in the same class with private schools with enrollments of 1500-2000 students, all while public schools get their classes divided six ways which would allow their smaller and medium sized schools to play against each other within the same classes?

A single-class for all non-boundary schools would produce its own inequity, absolutely, for the reason you state. I was only pointing to the frequent sighting of the "6 public, 2 non-boundary" suggestion without necessarily being aware of the inequity in that split that I mentioned.

Thank you for your question.

No, publics aren't whiners because some are advocating for split playoffs. They are whiners because that is their nature. They whine about other things, too. I am in favor of split playoffs outside of the authority of the IHSA because I feel that the private schools will be better off on their own.

While I have you, what is the nature of all private school people? Or it's not fair to generalize private school people? Just public school people?

It's quite fair to generalize private school people.

The nature of private school people is that we are noble people who love their children so much that we are willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars a year for an educational experience for them that we consider to be better to that offered by a government entity. We do this in addition to the thousands of dollars in school taxes that each private school family pays each year for all the public school whiners' kids to be educated by government. In so doing, all private school families are actually saving Illinois taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars each year that they would have to pay if all of our kids attended public schools. You're welcome for this, by the way.

Have a nice day. :)
