Can you quantify your answer win an expected amount of wins that satisfies this?Be in the top 5 in a far better Big East.

I want to make the tourney and go to the S16.I await the answers
Ultimately no. SHU was having a successful season and then hit a swoon losing to mid conference teams. What's the context? Did they battle through injuries? Was the Big East good or bad? Did they win or lose out towards the end of the year? Did they lose winnable games that dropped their seed down? How did they play in that first four game?
This is a thread in March 2026 for March 2027. Right now they need to make the tournament.
Asking genuinely - do you feel this year was a success?
If the conference is appreciably better and without knowing the OOF schedule I would be happy with a similar record as this season. Can you quantify your answer win an expected amount of wins that satisfies this?
Please don't kill me for saying this so please hear me out. With the roster going to turnover again, the season really isn't a success because you're no longer building a program. That's why I continue to be adamant about saying NCAA Tournament or bust for a season to be considered a success nowadays. The NCAA Tournament is always my pre-season answer.
Post Season can vary. I viewed this season as a success.
No worries. The days of building a program are over. We will have 8-12 new faces next year. This year, Shaheen took an entire roster of new faces, got them to buy in, play their hearts out, and make it to the NCAAT bubble. That's the formula and it is difficult to replicate year after year. The fact he did it this year makes it a success. Please don't kill me for saying this so please hear me out. This 100%.The NCAA Tournament. Any other answer is foolish.
