very concerning that no one posted anything about hot chicks.
He asked about YouTube, not instagram

I like the old tool / toy restoration stuff. That’s something I could see getting into once my kids are grown and I need a hobby

Lately I have been watching a lot of videos about exercising and lifting weights after age 70. Also videos about healthy eating, benefits and side effects of various supplements, and just trying to make the most out of the time we have left here on planet earth.

I'm a county Supervisor in MS and beavers are my nemesis. K

beaver slaying videos are fun to watch
Almost wish GoPro was available when I was in high school. Put a johnboat in the creek every night for a while and worked that problem for a neighbor. Ran out of beaver and started working on the snakes and catching bullfrogs. On second thought, glad there wasn’t any social media/so many cameras around in the 80s.

Mainly concert videos. Even though I don’t play guitar I love watching Michael Palmisano guitar teaching/reaction videos. I like watching a variety of music reaction videos as well.

Stay Tuned, Freiburger, Hot Ones, Wheels Through Time, Finnegan's garage, Jay Leno's Garage, Rick Beato, Professor of Rock, Bryson DeChambeau, Ghost Town Living
You didn't mention Matt's off-road, fabrats, colt builds it, 731 wood works, beard meats food, Katina eats kilos, or bearded Viking wood works. Then you have to watch the Daggum family guy shorts

Beard Meats Food - that dude can scarf down a damn meal

Jolly - British guys eating American food. When they tried Texas BBQ and New Orleans foods, I couldn’t help but feel sorry for their entire country.

The Hunting Public - thank god they went away from the over produced videos of the early 2000s. It’s refreshing and they are incredible woodsmen.

Chainsaw videos. I’ve been doing some property improvement on our hunting land and now I’m hooked. Of course I really like the ones where people screw up and damn near kill themselves.

Kill Tony golden ticket winners

Truett Hanes trying to run an Olympic qualifying time in the marathon is really intriguing. I don’t think he will do it and I think he’s on something that would be illegal for pro running.

For y'all that watch jay leno's garage; what are your thoughts on the slate electric truck. From what I've seen it's a basic vehicle(very basic by today's standards) with many upgrades that you can actually order and do yourself or have done by one of their techs/shops.

Music reaction videos and professor of rock.......
I have watched music reaction videos. I am 65 now but it is still hard for me to get it in my head that someone who has grown up in the US with access to radio, TV and the internet has NEVER heard Stairway to Heaven.

I am sure that some of those people are faking it but I do believe some.

Any recommendations? Not there yet, but quickly approaching it. Was not/am not prepared for the changes from aging process.

I was bored and clicked a 30 min video where 2 Asian kids dig a well by hand, and said: There’s no way I’m watching all this. It was sped up and I watched every second of it, and thought, we are devolving as a human race. Everyone should know this. They hand dug the well, lined it with grass and stone, used different sizes of bamboo for “tubing”, and chopped down trees and burned them to create different charcoal chambers for the filters to make a clean water well. I was transfixed.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but...

Most of what I watch, or listen to, isn't random to me: history and sports, but probably is to others.
The Rest is History
The Book Club (with Dominic Sandbrook and some chick)
Timeline
Chronicle
Simple History
Made the Cut (Baseball)
Baseball Doesn't Exist

Absolutely random thing I sometimes fall into are Wood Turning Videos. I just get sucked in and watch like 12 in a row.

Side note: Told the wife the only thing I wanted for an upcoming birthday was a membership to The Rest is History Club. Looking forward to catching up on all that content I currently can't access.

You’d be shocked how many people don’t know what you would think would be common music knowledge. I watch the Drumeo videos on YouTube where he gets drummers from various popular bands to come in and play someone else’s drum parts from scratch on other hit songs and I’m shocked sometimes at the songs they’ve never heard.

I'm hooked on watching videos of people unclogging storm drains/blowing up beaver dams, rodent control with dogs, watch restoration, rug cleaning, and fishing lure making.

Anyone else having a rabbit hole I can jump down?
Michael Girdley has a series on the Rise and Fall of certain businesses. Ive learned a lot about why Pizza Hut Wendy's and Subway now suck and why Circuit City and Bed Bath and Beyond went under.

The guy just walks around and talks to you about these things. I find it fascinating.

There’s a Dr. Berg and Dr. Mandell ( don’t know if they are really Doctors) that are interesting on supplements and exercise. Mostly I just watch whatever pops up looking for ideas to strengthen areas where I have the daily aches and pains. We go to the gym three mornings a week so I am mostly looking for new ideas to try out and I also do various stretches and exercises at home every morning. There is more information out there than you can ever absorb. You can explore something common like dumbbell curls and find more videos than you can watch in a month. With some digging you can find a lot of good information. Like most people my age, I have plenty of aches and pains and focusing on strengthening those areas really does help.

I watch a lot of Chicago FD & FDNY videos sprinkled in with old Skynyrd videos, grilling and a channel of a dad and his son working on cars (speed bump garage)

The video of them doing Freebird live in 1977 Oakland Coliseum is one of my all time YouTube videos. Hot little California girls everywhere in the sun, Billy Powell on the piano, Gary Rossington and Allen Collins just ripping that solo and the energy from the crowd during it gives me chills.
It was recorded less than 4 months before the crash.......................

I just replied to Rivadawg on the same question. I can tell you that going to the gym and doing stretches and exercises daily does help a lot. Two main thoughts, don’t try to keep up with the young people in the gym, you can’t and will hurt yourself trying. Then you have to start over. Second, be diligent. It takes awhile to start seeing and feeling good results. It takes a while to build muscle at our age but if you stop working out for awhile you can lose your gains pretty quickly.

Random Videos
Any interviews of Warren Buffett or Charlie Munger
Tornado siren videos
My son watches Lego stuff and I have gotten to where I enjoy that, too.

Specifc Pages
History Oversimplified - as the name suggest, historical events broken down into 5 minutes
Fried Egg Golf - golf course history and golf course architecture
Eat More Vegans - grilling, etc.
Oversimplified is one of my favorite channels.

@gasstationencounters is a guy that owns a convenience store/gas station and shows shoplifting videos of people stealing while he narrates them, he's hilarious.

I also like to watch/listen to really good cover bands like Hindley Street Country Club, Lexington Lab Band, Foxes and Fossils, Leonid and Friends are all good choices.

Maybe I need to do the opposite. Old dude music reaction to new music. I could rip it and say how all these old acts already did that.

I’ve been watching fairly closely. It may be my first electric automobile. Golf cart excluded.

Reaction videos about different TV shows. It's fun to watch foreigner react to Dave Chappelle and family guy. I also like watching them try different American foods and alcohol. The Irish are the best.

I am familiar with Berg and was watching some of his content but quit after reading some critical info about him being a former chiropractor now cashing in as a another health influencer. But I will say that he has been convincing to me in what he said, but what do I know? Literally not much about those subjects. Thank you for your posts.

Every day carry videos
Joby Martin preaching
Camping videos like no electricity type camping.
I have lived in Jacksonville for the last 10 years, and go to Joby's church. He's an incredible preacher! Small world.

Curious as to how you got on to watching him.

I go down rabbit holes watching folks relic hunt. Really like arrow heads, civil war metal detecting, and one channel I watch is a guy in ala that hunts for very old turn of the century bottles. Adventure archeology I believe.
