For AY25-26

Public University:
Average in state tuition is ~10.6k. Average out of state tuition is ~31k.

Private University:
Average tuition is ~18k.

Being over 100% off at the most generous average (31,000*4=124,000) is grossly inflated.

That number was fishy when my wife’s postgraduate tuition (At a B1G university) is less expensive than $250,000 over 4 years if it stays the same as it did this last year.

Someone could probably see how much revenue the major sports programs drive compared to tuition costs. I highly doubt there’s many jobs where you drive that much revenue making 10.6k a year. Assuming the 31k tuition rate and that athletes work a 40 hour work week, that’s less than $15 an hour. I made more than that (hourly) interning in school and driving significantly less revenue.

edit:

Four-year college tuition and fees average roughly $47,800 ($11,950/year) for in-state public schools and nearly $180,000 ($45,000/year) for private nonprofit universities. When factoring in room, board, and books, 4-year costs rise to over $123,960(public) and over $261,880 (private). [1, 2]

Average 4-Year College Costs (Tuition + Fees + Room & Board)
  • In-State Public University: ~$108,000 – $123,960 total.
  • Out-of-State Public University: ~$182,832 – $203,680 total.
  • Private Nonprofit University: ~$234,512 – $261,880 total. [2, 3, 4]
Key Cost Factors
  • Tuition Increases: Tuition and fees for 2024-2025 rose by 2.7% for in-state public and 3.9% for private institutions.
  • Net Price vs. Sticker Price: Many students pay less than the advertised cost due to grants, scholarships, and financial aid.
  • Location: Private colleges can exceed $65,000 annually, while in-state public options offer the lowest price point. [1, 2, 3, 5]

LOL. I’m not the lazy one, dude. It pulled from your site AND FOUR OTHERS THAT WERE CITED WHICH YOU WOULD HAVE SEEN IF YOU READ IT. Also, AI search is one of the most game changing things technology wise is in the last 5-7 years, so maybe you should learn how to use it (hint: ask questions) or you’ll be left behind…

3 other websites were sited. Two different pages from the website credible were sited. Did you not read it before copy and pasting? That’s pretty lazy. You gotta trust but verify with AI.

Read what I posted and stop taking personal shots. You are such a child.
I know you didn’t attend an elite university, but “you’re making things up and do so a lot” is an assertion of fact, not a personal attack. Saying I find it hilarious when you do so is a description of my mood, also not a personal attack. If I call you a douchebag, that’s a personal attack.

Hope that’s helpful!

While I don’t disagree… you spare with Baz more than anyone. Attention and reactions are what trolls like.

It was fun to pull those stats at lunch since I was curious anyway.
Sure, I spar with him. So do you and few others that find his takes not only annoying but factually incorrect. The guy isn’t driving conversation, he’s driving people away.

Maybe we should all take the advice one of our more intelligent posters who told me offline to never fight a pig, you’ll only get dirty and the pig will like it? I’ll try to refrain more.

“Driving people away…” LOL. 1) We have a small fanbase, so maybe you should not try and get people banned? And 2) it’s a f’n message board. Stop acting like it’s a more than that. We’re having a conversation in a bar, essentially. Relax.

I’m 99% certain that Baz is @CoralSpringsCat ’s burner account.
