Would you rather go to Sweet 16 and keep Pope - or lose in 1st round if it means we get a new coach?

1) This just isn't reality. Mark Pope will be here next season lol.
2) Even if this was a reality...........u know this is very similar to Cal's last few seasons here.....where I questioned if people were actively rooting for losses so he'd leave.

I'm sorry I just cannot do that as a fan. I want my team advancing as far as possible in this thing.

Years ago I was told by a vocational counselor that I would never quit because I want to prove people wrong. (He wasn't being complimentary when he said it) Anyway, that is the kind of coach I want. I don't want a quitter. I won't quit in the face of adversity and I won't quit on my team. Apparently, we have a lot of quitters on this board to want UK to lose.

I know some of you are trying to wish it into existence. But unless we get an AD completely removed from the UK system and he decides he wants his own guy right away. Or if Pope just decides it’s not worth the grief. He’s gonna be here next year.

You aren’t thinking with your head. Why in the hell should we want to keep a coach that clearly isn’t good enough for Kentucky just because of some “never quit” bs? The smart play is to lose and get rid of him so a real coach can get started turning this around. Keeping Pope does nothing but prolong this near decade long shitshow.

Lose Round 1 for me.
Just retarded. Absolutly retarded. You’re not a fan. Pope is doing just fine. Are you a Calipari nut hugger? Dude won 1 tournament game his last 4 seasons here. 1.

Pope won 2 his first year.

Just stop.

What is wrong with a lot of our fans? Embarrassing. We’re not entitled to a damn thing.

7 seed, playing in St Louis? Pretty damn sweet, all things considered.

I mean, it's highly unlikely they fire Pope this
off-season either way, so it's sort of irrelevant.
Couldn't bring my self to root for Kentucky to lose a game though.
I used to feel the same way but the incompetence shown for years in both basketball and football has chipped away at how much I care about UK that I have zero issue rooting for them to lose if it means a horrible coach gets fired.

The days of blind loyalty for me are done.

You do realize that Pope owes UK 33% of his remaining compensation if he quits, don't you? There is no way he is going to quit becuase things got too challenging. Even if he loses, he is here for another year. After that, who knows?

And, the kind of coach I want at UK is the kind of coach who responds to adversity by fixing the problem and not running away. Tubby refused to fix the problem as did Calipari. We don't need coaches like that at UK.

lmao I mean how does one even do this?

Do ya'll just not watch the game.........or do you sit there and actively root for Santa Clara?

Like it's just so wild to me.

Root for your team.
Personally I just don’t watch. The one and only reason I might watch is because it could be the last game of the year. I probably only watched half of the games this year. Didn’t watch the sweet 16 loss last year. Unless I think there’s a a good chance that UK wins I don’t even bother watching anymore. No sense spending two hours being pissed.

45-25 is not just fine at UK. But he will get his 3rd year.

I’m not so sure about that. The people that can affect change are not happy.
Considering supporters gave $22 million for NIL this year, it does seem that coming into the season, they must have been supporting the coach or why would they give so much? If they aren't happy now and want a change, will they now withold NIL money? Or, are you talking about other people?
