Michigan player hits a three with .3 seconds left. Four bench players ran out on the floor - no timeout had been called, this should have been a bench techinal with two free throws and ball out at half court for Wisconsin. Am I missing something here?

Yeah I don’t care about that… but how about the roll on that shot!

Those sort of rules don't help decide the better team on the court. Can you imagine if we hit a literal last second three to win, and ended up losing on FTs because some kids left the bench thinking the game was over. I mean we practice final second shots from the age of 5 and never role play, oops game not actually over, there is .3 left.

Thought the same thing. A step out onto the court is one thing, but c'mon. They were in the middle of the court during the game.

It is one of those things where you should call it but you also should not call it.

Like, either way, it really just depends which team you are a fan of or which team you hate, at that time.

Are you serious? We teach our elementary players to stay off the court during games. This is taught for a decade plus for basketball players.

If we hit a 3 vs Michigan it would have been called...

If they would have called a t it really couldn't be argued but how about the fact that they added .1 to the clock so it didn't have to be a tip in? ******* comical

The dudes on CBS just talked about how it should have been a T in the Dayton/SLU game for the same exact thing that happened in the wisconsin game.

Sorry, I know...you don't understand what I'm talking about😆
Freak off loser! Don’t you have your own board where you discuss coaches taking their side action hostage or the art of sign stealing. You’re pathetic at best and I can’t say on here what you are at worst

The clock stops automatically after a made shot and I don’t know if whiskey called TO or not. But at the end of the game like that the time is going to get reviewed and the game stopped. It was not smart to run on the court but no actual rule was violated.

There was no TO called and the players immediately ran out into the middle of the court - that is a problem. In one of the replays an offical at/near mid court is waiving the players back onto the bench in case Wisconsin tried to inbound. No TO, or stoppage had occured at that time.

There is an automatic stoppage of play because the clock stops and there is going to be a review of the clock. You don’t think Wisconsin doesn’t want an extra 2 or 3 tenths?

Stop, the guy hit a final second buzzer beater to win the game...a couple ran on the court, then ran back to the bench. The play stoppage allowed wisky another ,1 seconds and an inbound...to me this is like a defensive guy jumping offside, if the offense is smart enough to snap the ball or touch them then it is a penalty. If wisky inbounds the ball into the Michigan players then they deserve the technical, if the players don't cause interruption in play then it is ref discretion. You don't want a game decided on such a call unless it actually interferes.

The review of the clock is not automatic and not a given. Being on the court as a non player during the game is a technical foul. There is no disputing that. You can argue that the refs are going to stop and review time, but the non players were on the court immediately and a techinical foul would have been warranted.

In that situation a review is absolutely going to happen it’s just the way it is .the clock is stopped. I agree going on the court is stupid because you never know . Did you see the Whisky bench complain or argue? No because I am assuming the ref that was responsible for watching the clock who probably wasn’t in the picture called for a stoppage when the shot went down. Because I believe they changed it from.03 to .04 .

Why was the ref by the Michigan bench telling them to get back on the bench if the clock was already stopped?

The clock automatically stops in the last minute of the second half on a made basket. Try looking up the rules before you post

Yes the clock stops...no you can't run on the court. Just like the coach can't be out of the coaches box.

By the letter of the rules it should have been called. But it is even funnier that the wolfs lost to Purdue, bigly, and that they are totally fading because they have horrible PG play and no back up.
