Getting worse as the season goes on is the Nebraska way.
We are a team with very little depth that added two really good players into a 7 man rotation from a bad team last year. We are EXTREMELY small in the back court, and struggling with rebounding in the front court. When you get deep into tournaments you will face big teams, with physical guards, and size in the front court. Those teams will kill us. We don't shoot any free throws either, and don't have anybody who can get points in any sort of isolation. Our future is about matchups. If we face a small team, or at least a small back court, and shooting 40% from 3 we have a chance. We are a launch and pray team, which can be dangerous if we get hot, but you can't shoot 30% from 3, and only make 4 free throws and win any games.

Yeah the Huskers really need to bust it on both ends if they're going to beat a team with superior size and talent, and I really didn't see that tonight. Maybe from Jacobsen, but not the team as a whole.

Big Ten studio guys saying pretty much the same thing, and I agree with them. Huskers playing timid and "not to lose."
You beat a team with better size and talent with guards. Ours had eleven total, and next to nothing in the first half.

Been saying it all year long that N can't rebound or score at the basket. This has and is going to hurt them in the tournament.

This will probably result in a one and out, if that. Our rebounding has been utterly atrocious and our free throw shooting lately has been on par with a team of Shaqs.

Well the good news is we won’t see a team like Purdue in the first round.

The bad news is we might have slipped to the 4 seed if Virginia beats Duke today.

Bama stubbing their toe against OleMiss helps us also.

Purdue looked faster in the half-court game than the Huskers.

Out-rebounded 37-29. Free throw shooting 44%.

Garcia played 13 minutes and took 8 shots (Mast had 9 shots in 31 minutes). Garcia only made 2. Also had 3 turnovers in only 13 minutes. Not blaming Garcia, but he should have been told the right thing to do....get in the lane and battle for rebounds.
Yeah, Garcia is playing out of position out there on the perimeter. At one point, he took a dribble and bounced it off his own leg. He's a low post and high post guy.

Nebraska will get no favors from the selection committee
Yeah, there's been a couple times where we've been ranked higher than our seeding. I wouldn't doubt if we got a five seed before all is said and done. Maybe our big wins earlier in the season will help us out.

This extension **** is where a no-talent *** clown like yogurt would really benefit from some oversight.

How about a rule - no one is allowed to re-evaluate and offer ANYTHING contract-wise until after the season.
That would make sense. We've had shady extensions ever since Steve Peterson extended Callahan while both were on the hot seat.

Well, Alabama lost to a terrible Ole Miss team and Kansas is getting their butts kicked by Houston. So that should be enough to keep us at a 3-seed. Unless UVA beats Duke tomorrow, in which case they might take the 3-seed and drop us to a 4-seed.

Also, it looks like Michigan State is going down, which means 3 of the top 4 seeds in the Big Ten lost today. So maybe the Triple Bye is not a good thing.
That Big 10 tournament basketball bracket is ugly as hell. Just a made for TV POS

so last 3 vs first 4 seed? Idk watching this team the last couple weeks is N really a top 15 team? Maybe new teams to play will help.

Playing new teams will be helpful as long as they are a program that doesn’t scout and prepare well.

I wouldn't think so, but you never know.

FWIW CBS Bracketology dropped us to a 4-seed this morning. They have Vandy and Virginia as 3-seeds now.
We’re not playing at a 3 seed level. This team is not the same as December Nebraska. Let’s hope we don’t get worse than a 4 seed.

And with Florida losing, that makes Arkansas the favorite to win the SEC, which probably puts them in OKC ahead of us.

Here’s my predictions:
1 Seeds: Duke, Arizona, Michigan, UConn

2 Seeds: Virginia, Florida, Iowa State, Houston

3 Seeds: Purdue, Arkansas, Illinois, Gonzaga

4 Seeds: Nebraska, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Michigan

Yeah, we are in a world of hurt when Garcia starts to become an offensive contributor. I would much rather just let Frager freelance than watch Garcia become the focal point of the offense when subs are in.

We are basically getting nothing offensively out of Lawerence and Berke at this point.

I like most of these but UVA as a 2? I don't know about that.

Michigan vs. Purdue. Who do I hate more? Come to think of it…I hate everyone in this conference. I will say…we need a guy like Cluff. I think he’s as good as Edey was.

Lunardi thinks Florida will still be a one seed while UConn will be a 2.

UConn currently getting waxed by St. John's. I hope we don't get matched up with St. John's in the 2nd round. I think they would run us out of the gym.

If they beat Duke, which I think they can with a few of Duke’s players out, I think it can happen.
Virginia is not moving to a 2 seed . They don’t pay attention to who wins the Conference tournament unless it’s someone that wasn’t in the field.

Arkansas and Virginia If they win ? Nobody is moving up 2 lines just because they got hot for 3-4 days. You literally don’t know how this works.

For most teams, you’re right.

But didn’t Purdue jump from a 4 to a 2 for beating Nebraska and a very shot-handed UCLA team?

Pays to be a media darling.

Not a 2 seed, but I do believe UVA will be a 3-seed now with the way they are playing Duke tonight. I have a feeling that whoever wins the SEC tomorrow will get the last 3-seed and we will be a 4-seed.

Maybe Arkansas but not Vany. Hogs tied for 2nd during the regular season.

Do you know how good Arkansas and Virginia are and what their records are? Had Virginia beaten Duke, which I was going on my own prediction, I think they would have gotten that seed. But not now. I also thought UConn was going to win too. With their loss they’ll be a 2 seed and Florida will fault to number one. I know how this works. Probably more than you do.
