Pope could offer Stokes all the eggs he has, the coop they were laid in AND the chickens that laid ’em - and we still wouldn’t get him. It’s all just leverage for Stokes to get a bigger NIL deal with Kansas. High level talent, either as freshmen or from the portal, don’t want to put their future in the hands of an unproven coach who hasn’t won anything of merit nor has developed/coached any other big time NBA level talent in helping them to get to the next level.

Totally agree. We've all heard this exact information for awhile now, nothing new in this. That makes me think less about this guy's "inside info". We'll just have to sit back and wait and see what Stokes decides. Seems like it shouldn't take that long now as basketball season nears the end.
I think people often overlook the amount of recruitment that Tubby had with PPatt. Had Tubby stayed he would’ve probably had Patrick Patterson, Draymond Green, and Jai Lucas.
We have a decent chance at both. The NIL was always gonna be tricky with Kansas where stokes is a Nike kid already. Take into account that self may very well retire and his top assistant may be leaving for a head coaching job. Furthermore it’s do or die time with pope and he HAS to land a big fish now. If we can pull stokes it will however cost us a huge sum of money. Probably 4-6 mil
Color me real excited about possibly landing a recruit that really doesn’t want to be here. I’d put my best offer on the table whatever that is and say you got 5 minutes to make a decision or the offer is pulled. Next offer, should there be one, , will drop by 7 figures.
