I don't tell anyone how to spend their money. If someone wants to contribute to the University or our athletic programs, god bless. If they don't, all good. We all have differing views on this pay for play stuff, and some of those views have morphed over time (Dan, for example, was adamantly against pay for play at the outset compared to "real NIL", only to reverse course because of the need to win and compete).
Likewise, I am not going to implore our wealthiest alumni to "pony up" and then "deify" them if they do so, while at the same time demonizing others who do the same for different programs. That would make me a hypocrite.
