Salisbury defense has been really really good. Granted Reidsville has missed a ton of close shots (thanks to the d). Salisbury is finding their rhythm and it’s getting out of hand. But for this game Salisbury is just a deeper better ball team.

The Rams aren't used to being behind, and are forcing things and Salisbury is hitting everything at this point

What a run the Rams have been on the last four years this is what their 3rd loss? Mr. Neal will leave a great legacy in Reidsville as one of the best 2 sport athletes to ever do it.... I bet a whole bunch of teams are glad to see him and Harrison graduating...
They whipped us a couple times in football and basketball but it was a pleasure to see these two play.. Great run , just ran into a combo of bad shooting and a very talented Hornet squad

1st of all let me say Im surprised how this one turned out. I told lot of people that Reidsville shouldnt have no problem winning this game. Great season for Reidsville and especially for Neil. Congratulations to Salisbury for the State Championship win

Not making excuses, but UNCG firing the coach this week had to be a big distraction for Dionte's focus. Still 38 points but 1 of 13 from three-point line is way out of character. As usual, he battled to the end.
That 3-2 zone was the difference maker
This right here.... It was a perfect plan, and poor Cauthen the main support scorer didnt have a good night shooting the ball...
Still though an amazing run..... Heck when Neal walked off that course late in the fourth, I even had a little heart palpitation, and I aint even a Reidsville fan... Just knowing its the last time you will see them on a high school court or field is a little numbing.... He left it all on that court....
My thoughts go back to when Royce the freshman hit the 1/2 court shot against Central Davidson for the win. If he had missed that shot then Reidsville would have played Central Davidson. Wondering how that game would have turned out.
The 3-2 zone may have been more for Cauthen. I actually was pretty confident going into the game. When I seen that 3-2 zone, I knew that could be trouble. Salisbury has the athletes to pull something like that off. All in all it was a special year. I said it all year, rams needed a consistent 3rd guy. It’ll be weird with no Neal or Harrison next year. Two all time greats.
We didn’t notice, but did Salisbury’s Braylon Taylor rip off his jersey at the buzzer and run around the arena mocking opposing fans after the title victory?

That was Kendra Harrison’s behavior after last year’s Reidsville Title win.
Taylor played and performed like a pro.
And we were not impressed with Neal. He is a ball hog and continually madly drives the lane initiating contact with the big men to draw fouls.
Once again Reidsville benefits from split classes and coming out of the East bracket.

Reidsville beat a good Washington team to get to the state championship. I think they are as good as salsibury. Don’t forget this isn’t the first time reidsville and salsibury have matched up

Hey genius, how does a ball hog become the only player in NC High School sports history accumulate over 1000 assist and also top 12 all time in the nation for high school basketball. I think he is behind Jason Kidd in that stat.
Question kinda off topic but in 7a championship you have the school of energy and sustainability. Is that in same category as charter schools???
My last note on this game, you can tell Salisbury wanted revenge. Those were some mad hornets, they played angry.
You could tell Salisbury coach been waiting for this moment. Flawless coaching from him. I love the adjustments he made throughout the game. Kept Reidsville off balance. That 1-2-2 was the game changer. Great adjustment
