Golden probably told Pope what color to paint his future office, when he sends him back to Lexington!

Pope tried to say a bad word to him but couldn't quite get it out then squinted at him really mean like. He's a tough guy.

Golden is a much better coach then POPE. He recruited his players and coached them to play unselfish basketball. But Golden must now be considered an elite coach with two consecutive titles in sight. He and Scheyer are fighting for supremacy among the under 45 yo coaches. Pope has a lot to prove especially with player selection.
It’s still ours, a couple down years doesn’t change the fact. We are still the Super Bowl for teams that recently won championships, even in down years, that tells you all you need to know. They know historically, the winning against us doesn’t last long, so they have to soak it up while it lasts.
Golden always drags Kentucky and Pope, believe he literally hates everything Kentucky basketball

UF does have 3 national titles in the last 25 years to UKs 1. That is a good amount of time.

There are reports that if Bill Self retires due to health concerns thay Golden is their number one choice to replace him.
