Remember when we thought we were getting an offensive guru?
Free throws were solid, AJ and OO were absolutely deplorable, our interior players were dominated as well today.
Florida didnt shoot well either
It was all rebounding

I thought our guys played hard, but Florida bullied us at will.
There wasn't a single point in any of our three games with them where I felt we had a legit chance to win.
Sad.

It’s almost a mirror of our 2006 and 2007 teams vs UF.
Florida is just more talented, period. And higher basketball IQ players.
So many missed wide open 3s. I thought we got so many bad calls. Moving screen late that hadn’t been called the whole game cost us 3. T against OO in a dead ball situation after that crap call. No walking calls on their bigs. Blows above the neck.
I was impressed with our coaching today. Kept us in it. Can’t shoot it or rebound it for them. 17-66 on 3s down there.

UK lost this game because Pope‘s teams are soft. Outrebounded by 21! 21! Moreno is not good. How he is on the draft board is crazy. There are numerous examples of 7 footers that didn‘t make it.
This loss is not solely on Moreno but his play is terrible for a P4 player. He plays below the rim. He is lazy on defense. Doesn‘t have an aggressive instict in him. He doesn’t jump, doesn’t go for any rebound not directly coming to him, rebounds with 1 hand, hands are weak gets pushed way under the basket, dunked on, doesn’t hedge screens, gets the ball 25 feet from the basket and is ZERO threat to do anything, plays with his hands down, has no post moves, etc.
His plus is you can’t teach height. Unfortunately he plays for a coach who is more worried about “leaning in to each others truth” than development.
We are witnessing UK’s peak under Pope.

Terrible take IMO , how were Hough as Condon , or even Chinyelu as freshman ? Give MM 2-3 years and then critique him . I'd rather point out Oweh shooting 5-20 or whatever . And some secondary guys added nothing , Trent and Jelly go 0-7 from three. AJ was awful yesterday
Not boxing out has been our biggest issue all season IMO. Thats something that you definitely can lay at Popes feet. Boxing out is fundamental and effort. That, defending the three and running plays to get your best shooters open looks are three areas he has to look in the mirror in if he gets a third season.

Lmfao I love how everyone thinks Golden is some basketball coaching God. If not for Walter Clayton Jr. last season, his *** would’ve went home in the SECOND round! Literally, UConn had them beat, Texas Tech had them beat, Auburn and Houston. Every time, Clayton saved Golden’s bacon. Dude had the best PG in the country last year and arguably the best overall backcourt. Clayton was video game good. Then, they had the best frontcourt in the country last year, too.

Dude don’t have 1 ounce of humility in his entire body. I get it’s a tiny, almost midget size body, but still. Last year and this year will be the best two squads he’ll ever field at UF. He better get all his swings in while he can. Punk mother ******.
I think they scored around 19 points off their 17 missed threes. I didn’t see the flip side of that of how many points UK had on their 18 misses but it probably wasn’t a lot.
