I want another shot at Purdue, they got off to hot start and we fought back and had a shot in OVT despite Lawrence slipping on the flour the last offensive possession.Seems about right. If Purdue plays to their potential they are better. If Nebraska plays like January Nebraska then Purdue is in trouble. Just hope they get out of this one healthy
Remember Nebraska wins that game if Mast makes his free throwI want another shot at Purdue, they got off to hot start and we fought back and had a shot in OVT despite Lawrence slipping on the flour the last offensive possession.
That too.Remember Nebraska wins that game if Mast makes his free throw
So if Purdue playing to their potential means they are better than January Nebraska, why would Purdue be in trouble?Seems about right. If Purdue plays to their potential they are better. If Nebraska plays like January Nebraska then Purdue is in trouble. Just hope they get out of this one healthy
What is even crazier is all of the non-power 5 teams who should be on this chart. The probability of Nebraska being this bad at basketball is almost impossibly low.
It’s not easy to get to the NCAA tournament and make a run; but it’s sure as hell not as hard as Nebraska has made it look. What is even crazier is all of the non-power 5 teams who should be on this chart. The probability of Nebraska being this bad at basketball is almost impossibly low.
January Nebraska was as good as this program has ever looked. If that team still exists then I think they can get Purdue. I really just want to get out of tomorrow night healthySo if Purdue playing to their potential means they are better than January Nebraska, why would Purdue be in trouble?
That was a deep and talented Husker team too. They just stymied us that night.Losing to Xavier as 3 seed in 1991 still stings to this day.
'94 Penn loss a close second. Ouch.Losing to Xavier as 3 seed in 1991 still stings to this day.
Penn was really good, though. They had shooters that could hit from anywhere. Fran Dunphy was a good coach.'94 Penn loss a close second. Ouch.
I think thay Xavier team had 3 players that went on to have 10+year NBA careers. I also think if that gane didnt tip after 9pm we winLosing to Xavier as 3 seed in 1991 still stings to this day.
Plus I believe the Huskers’ reward for winning the conference tournament was to get sent to Long Island as a #6 seed. It was like the tourney never happened.Penn was really good, though. They had shooters that could hit from anywhere. Fran Dunphy was a good coach.
Agreed. He's our toughest match up. Double him but can't leave their 2 guards open for 3s. Need to attack cluff and get him into foul troubleTo me Cluff is the guy that needs to be contained. Hes such a big body. He kinda had his way with us last time.
I posted this the other day that Xavier was under-seeded at 14; that was their 5th straight NCAA tournament and has made the Sweet 16 the year before. Bad draw for NU.Losing to Xavier as 3 seed in 1991 still stings to this day.
Therein lies my distaste for end of season tournaments esp the NCAA. A middling team can get hot in ONE game and basically ruin the season of a much better team. I’ve never been a fan of the NCAA tourney. IMO it gives us a false sense of failure for teams that were overall great all year. Maybe it was an illness or injury or just ONE cold night from the floor and they’re relegated to the trash heap.Losing to Xavier as 3 seed in 1991 still stings to this day.
Can't believe some are saying this isn't an important game for Nebraska. They need to have a game or two heading into the tournament where they put together 2 halves of good basketball. Winning would be great but they need to get back to playing good ball and need to do that prior to the NCAA tournament. If Nebraska has any aspirations of making a serious run in the NCAA tourney, this is a game that should be won.
6-5 in their last 11 games. I would agree a couple of wins against the top tier teams in the Big 10 is important. Can't believe some are saying this isn't an important game for Nebraska. We’re about a 4 point dog. It’s hard to figure both teams out. If we can box out Cluff and Sandfort gets hot, we can get this game.I have not bet this game yet but I think I would take Purdue.
Critical for Sam and Lawrence to avoid early foul trouble. Not easy to do, when Loyer and Smith start flopping during the National Anthem. We’re about a 4 point dog. It’s hard to figure both teams out. If we can box out Cluff and Sandfort gets hot, we can get this game.
Need a good defensive game from Frager again the floopers.Critical for Sam and Lawrence to avoid early foul trouble. Not easy to do, when Loyer and Smith start flopping during the National Anthem.
Most B1G refs are like trained dogs when they work a Purdue game. They see one of Purdue's Hollywood stuntmen hit the floor and they HAVE to blow the whistle. They can't help themselves.Of course we get ******* Larry scirotto
Also need to look to score earlier in the shot clock. Too much passing it around with no purpose, and then whoever ends up with the ball feels the clock ticking.Defense needs to ratchet up now.
