No way Duke loses this game

No PG, no success . They looked completely disconnected and escaped.
Duke with a S16 ceiling now IMO. 8/9 games could end them with the wrong draw. They’ve always been shallow and relied so heavy on Boozer. Without a quality PG it takes them down several notches. And no Boozer lite isn’t Duke quality starting pg material.

Thats a 10-15pt win if Duke has their PG and big. I think its pretty clear that Duke is a different team, at least until the other Boozer twins gets fully acclimated.

Kentucky still doesn't have the horses to compete with them, although the pressure would be all on Duke. Still, any other 6-seed or better would love to see them in their bracket at this point.

Duke has waaayyy more talent than we do. But you can’t honestly tell me that they did not struggle without their point guard and big man. When did you become such a Duke supporter and apologist?
I just want us to have talent and stop acting like injuries are the reason we’ve had a bad year. Could we have won a few more games fully healthy? Sure, but this roster was lacking a lot.

It does need more talent but pope started with nothing and is having to prove himself with talent. Scheyer inherited a recruiting factory and pipeline from coach K. Pope got none of that because of egotistical cal university. We do need more talent but there have been so many on here that state it didn’t have an effect when that is an abysmal lie.

I'll be honest

If I have to a see a 1 seed, I think I'd prefer them now. I'm not betting my money on a Kentucky win. But Duke looks very vulnerable all of a sudden. This was the scene in 300 where Leonidas drew blood. Sure, he died. But Greece realized Xerxes bleeds. And what bleeds, dies.

Cal has nothing to do with what Pope is doing. That's the other thing is a part of this board just makes excuse after excuse for this guy. He had a TON of money to get players last year, and this year is the result of that money, not good enough.

Yep, same. Michigan would probably be next because of losing their 6th man. Injuries in basketball make a huge difference. Nothing against Duke, but when you lose your PG and your big.. its gonna change everything.

We have our March Madness draft coming up. Duke was probably going to be the 1st overall pick. Now they might be the last 1 and they might even go behind a few 2-seeds.

It's honestly one of the stupidest things in the world that grown men believe they can influence the outcome of a game based on what they say or post online think about how stupid that is. If I say the Yankees are gonna win tonight that means they're gonna lose? How does that make any sense whatsoever

It's superstition. I dont think any of us believe in it as a whole. But i'm certainly not gonna say "boy, there hasn't been a plane crash in a while" while boarding my flight.

Historically on these forums, posters over the years would prematurely post about a rival being down in a game, only to have them come back and win. So the long time joke (or superstition) is that you never count on a rival to lose until the finals buzzer sounds, no matter how far behind they are.

Refs are coming to the rescue in the Kansas-TCU game. TCU had a chance to go up 6, TCU kid was tackled on a drive, no call, leads to a run out and an and one. Never fails

I asked a legitimate question. I never said he sucked. I don't really know anything about him. What connection does he have to NBA championships? I can't view a coach in his first year who just dropped to 18-15 as I type as the "real deal". Looking at the schedule (ranked 68th) he had a good 14 game run against some rather mediocre competition.
He had 5 years with Golden State (2 titles) as player development coach and 3 years Sacramento as assistant. Known for his offensive/defensive strategy. Great resume IMO. Time will tell.

What’s bat chit crazy is people doing sunmersaults as if a post on a board far far away instantly affects the outcome of a game. People will literally burst a vessel over ANYTHING. lol

The bottom line- they look much different in a bad way without their Point Guard. Imagine that….

I so hope we see Duke in the dance. They're not better than us. I'm not so sure anyone is playing any better than we are right now
You are definitely posing as a UK fan. Can’t imagine having a life so sad this is how you get your kicks.

Evans and boozer would kill us, boozer especially with the whistle protection he gets. He bulls and pushes his way to the basket every single time and don’t think I’ve ever seen him get called for an offensive foul. He could straight drop kick someone out of the way and it’s a play on. Two fouls on him last night which is 26 times in 32 games two fouls or less the entire game (played 39 minutes). It is obvious officials have their marching orders to allow him to stay in the game.

Too much talent for the 8 seed in a trash conference. Listen to yourself.

Some here will cry when Duke loses in the dance because it weakens their stupid Pope hate. What an embarrassing bunch.
Dude all this went way over your head. This was a jinx thread where people say duke wins and other over the top stuff like...too much talent they win even though they lost their starting point gaurd and its a super close game. So anytime you want to apologize for taking it way too serious, that would be cool 😎

Listen to yourself...what does duke and me trying to jinx them into losing have anything to do with Pope when I didnt even mention pope. Maybe you are new here... but the jinx our rivals threads has been around a long time.

Sigh..... the human race

Wow Duke really struggled tonight. Could they be missing their point guard and best big man? Almost lost to an 18-14 team. I guess they are embarrassing the program after that win and we should just consider them mid.
They are struggling to score again tonight. Welcome to the injury bug, “America’s Team”.
