This is true. They are absolutely terrible in every way, shape, and form.
They are just bad, bad, bad. And before the "quit blaming the refs, we just suck" crew comes rolling in, both can be true - we can be mediocre and the refs suck.
Some of the calls and no calls in this game were just horrible. The double T there at the end was really bad - Garrison was minding his own business and Phillips walked up, got in his face and shoved first.
Yes, we got lucky with the goal tending miss, but that was literally the ONLY call where we benefited. They had so many missed walks (just like yesterday) I lost count. And the absurd ticky-tack fouls called against us but never against them. The shove by Phillips of Mo that wasn't called, but just 2 seconds later a touch foul on the shot was (ended up as another and-1).

They reviewed everything but didn’t upgraded Jasper catching an elbow to the forehead….
I know that they missed the goal tend on BG but that last foul against Chandler was a horrible call. That was a physical game with lots of contact and they call that in the final seconds???

I’m not generally much on conspiracy theories for anything but entertainment purposes, but someone should check SEC refs’ phones for gambling apps.
If every now and then Pope would just rip em when there’s a bad foul or no call we’d probably get some officiating justice. The thing is their job is to not affect the game.

And there was the situation yesterday - Aberdeen got t'd up for jacking (which really didn't look like much at all), but today Phillips was way more jaw-jacking - so was the head coach. Yet nothing. They just let it go.

That we got that T a couple of weeks ago when I think it was Mo who dunked and yelled towards the UK student section tells you all you need to know about these refs and how they treat UK differently than any other school (recall there was not an opposing player anywhere near Mo when he got that T).

Not just our games but these guys are horrible across the board, they make some of the worst game changing calls.

I said it forever. I’ve never seen one school get picked on like we do. They are obviously gambling. You won’t see us get any calls like the give against us to change momentum against Florida I know that.
Constantly complaining about refs is a bad look. Makes Kentucky fans look like perennial sour pusses. The biggest problem is our coach has no clue how to keep his players from doing stupid crap that ends up getting us in foul trouble. It was the same crap last year as well.
Not just conference. Worst in basketball. If you are an official that can't get a job anywhere, come on over. The SEC will welcome you.
I agree, they called 2 fouls on UK then gave Mizzo an and One, when the foul was on the ground, then failed to call that flagrant foul after the review. They called more touch fouls on UK than I have seen called in half the season, yet Missouri used their off arm on offense to straight arm UK defenders as they pushed their way into the lane.
One thing I've noticed over the years is how other teams are allowed to play so aggressively on defense against the Cats, but the Cats aren't given that freedom. This season, there have been several games like that. Today and the Auburn games come to mind immediately.

For those who want to blame it on betting, I have a question for you. If it's betting instead of anti-Kentucky bias, why doesn't it come out in our favor sometimes? You'd think they wouldn't exclusively bet against Kentucky but the calls are very consistent in being against Kentucky. Nobody could look honestly at the contact at the rim and think today's game was called evenly and that is a pattern in Kentucky games.
The non flagrant call for Jasper after calling it on Dioubate yesterday was criminally inconsistent.
It’s true, I watch so much college basketball and certain teams get away with everything. You can check lines and see how games are called. We get the worst game changing calls I’ve ever seen. It’s sickening.
I would agree if it were another team. But we make so many stupid mistakes it’s frustrating. Sometimes some teams just foul more. We’re undisciplined. Been that way since Pope has been here.But I won’t pretend that Cal didn’t get screwed over by refs because I agree, he did. Refs hated that man.
Aberdeen got bumped hard on the body on the game clinching shot. The officials were not going to let UK win on a foul call. If we would have bumped them on the last shot. The whistle would have blown. That’s the UK efffect. No one knows why. But it is a fact.

I agree with that 100%, we suck at defensive positioning. I’m talking about random flagrants when it’s a basketball play, the technicals for nothing at all. We get the worst ones.
