Home. ESPN. Let’s just say the visitors have a pretty fresh reputation… and rumor is they spent a lot of time on playgrounds growing up. Hopefully we skip the ‘one little fight’ part cause mom will move em across the country to live with their Auntie & Uncle.

I’m not sure what happened to Bergen Catholic, but they released their schedule a month ago and MC wasn’t on it.
Yes, maybe a California school. There's a lot of them. Bel Air Prep, John Bosco, Mater Dei. Big names, good teams, generous alumni. If it's held at Barda-Dowling, MC will probably give them a good game. .
Mater Dei has a week 3 opening. If IHSA didn’t move the season up a week that might have happened!
The SJR Green Knights have won 20 state championships in football. They play in New Jersey's Non-Public A League. Non-Public? Why don't they just say private?

So did I… about 20 minutes after I posted about Philadelphia on here is the first I heard about SJ “Regional”. At that point I figured I’d just let MC handle the official announcement instead of adding to the confusion. My apologies.
Leo is one of those teams I pray gets their 3 wins and let’s see what they can do in the 1A playoffs.
Wish they would schedule two CPS teams for NC.
They are also listing St. Joseph Regional. Doubtless someone has made a mistake somewhere.

Yeah that was an odd call - this year they could maybe pull out a 5-4 but I am thinking 4-5. They will be looking for a QB (so whoever loses the MC battle perhaps) - they are now a hoops school with their nice 4A championship and 2 new hoops kids coming in from CPL. So maybe football not big with them. They had a decent Frosh team

Another double-up: Montini now lists their Week 2 game as a home game against Hillcrest. Crete-Monee likewise lists their Week 2 as a home game against Hillcrest. This sort of thing has happened in the past with CPS teams but rarely with the likes of Hillcrest, a reputable suburban school with a good program.
Bayonne, New Jersey, had a Marist High School, an institution that closed its doors in 2020. In the '60s, '70s, and '80s, this Marist expanded rapidly and was known primarily for its academics. It then began to shrink. To offset declining enrollment, it went coed but to no avail. They soon ran out of money.
The coed Catholics in Chicago seem to be doing well, but the model wouldn't succeed at every school.
When “doubling up” is something that happens, one woo ups think that there might be too many classes.

Hearing they are pretty happy with their choice as of now at QB but a transfer could change that.
