but it wasnt crumbs to the people receiving them, It was manna from heaven.
They were not meant to be permanent. Also our healthcare system is so screwed up. Throwing money at it will not fix it. I know this doesn’t help anyone.

Insurance is not healthcare. This is the fallacy of Obama care. No insurance company has ever helped a single person with a health issue. They pool and profit- which increases the cost of the basic health service.

The US medical health insurance programs are the byproduct of a failed wage freeze policy by the US government. Its roots are in failure and its fruits are a failure. It survives today as insurance companies are safe guaranteed investments for pensions and it provides tax incentives.

US healthcare is top notch- people from all over the world come to the USA for healthcare. The insurance used to pay for it is the problem- it distorts the healthcare market, creates a completely incomprehensible pricing and payment environment and effectively locks out those that need healthcare the most.
