Just landed at O’Hare! It’s a disease for which there is no cure, Rutgers
should be a close game. Indiana cannot afford to lose it if they want to get an at large. Northwestern won the earlier meetingAnother 10-point game, NW wins 76-66. They take on Indiana tomorrow.
Cronin will ***** that the jet lag and travel to Chicago caused the loss should the winner of Rutgers/Minnesota upset UCLA in Round 3.It’s amazing how important matchups are. I would love another shot at MSU but I can’t see us getting past UCLA, even if we manage to upset Minnesota.
Yeah thats why I dont really take that much of an optismitic take on finishing 14th. I do think RU and Northwestern showed to be better than bottom 3.Iowa dispatched Maryland. Maryland this year was one of the worst teams I’ve ever seen. I can’t believe they even won 1 game this week. The bottom of the Big Ten was really bad this year. USC the seed above us at #13 is on an 8 game losing streak, didnt realize that.
Right now I think USC and Indiana are NIT bound, Washington to the Crown, and I think winner of Rutgers/Minnesota could get into the Crown as well pending on how many B1G teams they need for it.USC starts the year 12-1 and ends the year 0-9. Strange year. Yea no NCAAs for sure. NIT or Crown maybe.
I hoped so too but sadly the Crown is only 8 teams this year instead of 16. And last year we were invited but Pike declined. Just like football was invited to a bowl but Schiano declined. Sad that now unless we have historic seasons in fball and bball there’s nothing to look forward to it seems. Don’t know why we feel at Rutgers like we are above any postseason at all. We’re not and we should play just like the other lower half P5s do.Right now I think USC and Indiana are NIT bound, Washington to the Crown, and I think winner of Rutgers/Minnesota could get into the Crown as well pending on how many B1G teams they need for it.
Only 8 schools total and RU is 3rd worst net so noRight now I think USC and Indiana are NIT bound, Washington to the Crown, and I think winner of Rutgers/Minnesota could get into the Crown as well pending on how many B1G teams they need for it.
Very rough year for USC. It was a sign that things might be amiss at USC when they nearly collapsed against us and looked like a high school JV team trying to handle a full court press. We were dead in the water against them and the press took over the game. Let’s see that press tonight against Minnesota!Absolute choke job by USC in OT. Enjoy the NIT, officially. Whatever speck of hope you had to steal a bid crumbled, Trojans.
I liked that Pike turned down the Clown…..I mean Crown…..and hopefully he would again. The Clown……there I go again, I mean the Crown……gotta work on that……is totally meaningless and just prolongs the memory and of how bad the season was for a team. When this season ends, move on, flush it and start the roster rebuild for next year. A very important rebuild for Pike as well.I hoped so too but sadly the Crown is only 8 teams this year instead of 16. And last year we were invited but Pike declined. NW beating up on Indy, up 18 with 7:00 to go.
Not a big fan of the University of Spoiled Children, I take it.Absolute choke job by USC in OT. Enjoy the NIT, officially. Whatever speck of hope you had to steal a bid crumbled, Trojans.
Nebraska would say otherwise. Very meaningful to the Huskers. They won the tourney. Several players who returned this year received valuable postseason experience. They were predicted to finish No. 14 in the B1G. Instead, they are currently No. 11 in the country.I liked that Pike turned down the Clown…..I mean Crown…..and hopefully he would again. What is the deal with Crown/NIT this year? I remember last year certain Big Ten teams had to go to the Crown instead of the NIT but I understand they reduced the field this year
announced monday 3/16, 8 teams. The 2026 edition will remain in Las Vegas, but with a smaller field of just eight teams. It will have the top two teams from the Big Ten, Big 12 and Big East that didn't receive an NCAA Tournament bid, as well as two wild card selections determined by its committee.
