Regime change with no end in sight that weakens our ability to support Ukraine and could create a global recession? Totally worth it. That will be so much more meaningful than ACA subsidies, or paying down the debt.

LOL.
When one of these MF"S blows your *** or your families' asses off the face of the earth, what concern would you have over anyone's debt?

Clueless!

Honestly, until someone around here actually GAF about spending, rather than just wanting to take the money from the other guy's spending, this sort of whataboutism argument is about as persuasive as a three year old arguing with his mother.

Seriously. The number of times they have attacked America in my lifetime makes it worth any price to take out their ruling party.

It’s not whataboutism when one party espouses that they are the party of America first and small government but then does the opposite. The narrative has always been that Dems are the big spenders but that is not true. Until Republican loyalists start opening their eyes and demanding that the party actually do what it says it will do, we will never have any incentive for either party to stop spending.

rastafarian, where have you been...I've missed your insightful posts

I don't think extending the subsidies was about the amount of money. To me it was more about the fact that the subsidies were to get people over the COVID crisis, the crisis was over, and by law the subsidies were to end. The amount of money was, in terms of the federal budget, just "crumbs"

I have no problem with the subsidies ending. I just want consistency. If this is about getting fiscally in shape, don’t start stupid wars. All we heard is that there is a pending financial crisis in the fed govt and we need to cut spending. So far the opposite has happened.

Agree that Iran had to be dealt with. Hopefully we get better at regime changes. It needed to be with moderate weather Spring season approaching for energy purposes, but I have to wonder if that was even a consideration

well, I believe that we are on the cusp of a financial crisis ($39trillion debt) and yes, the opposite (cut expenses) has not happened. Nobody in DC seems to be concerned about all the deficits. It's going to come back to bite us

Let's wait until they send a drone over and blow up my town. Wow, I had no idea they had that capability. We should probably do something.

This is the left mindset.

This administration seems good at creating chaos without a lot of thought outside of the box
All previous administrations seem to talk about doing something until they don't. Let's play inside our little box and think we will be ok.
It's not that hard people.
Let me guess, you have thought outside thew box and have a better plan.

U know, Canada could some day send a drone over and wipe out your town. We should probably start a war with them too.

Except one side has "fiscal responsibility" as one of it pillars, and one of its differentiating factors that it uses to constantly attack and belittle the other side.

So "samesies, so I don't care" doesn't cut it.

Easy to play the double sided Song and Dance routine with untethered fiat currency

I am on board with everything you said except supporting Ukraine. I voted for America First! We need to get our house in order!

When have they attacked the continental US? I assume you are talking about them attacking our military in their sphere of influence?

Probably referring to 9/11 that was tied more to Saudi Arabia and bin laden which has to be comparable to the hate the Iran regime in power since the Shah has for the western imperialization of crude oil influence?

The dems are big spenders. The enrollment in social welfare programs in this country has exploded and they are the ones encouraging, incentivizing and supporting it. They’re supporting subsidies for illegals. They want millions of illegals to have healthcare, free food, housing, clothing. Now they’re demanding they all receive court dates. The whole “small government” thing is over. There’s no such thing as small government when you’re 40$ trill in debt and spending 4$ trill in handouts every year. I agree with you on war, I’m against that in general. I just find it ridiculous to keep harping on the right being the party of small government, it’s a ridiculous premise in today’s landscape.

I applaud you for standing up and admitting you have no principles, rather than acting like your MAGAt brethren, who still feign at having any.

It's a shame that having to support your Fuhrer has led you toward the abandonment of even the superficial adherence to any kind of morality, or ethics ... but at least you're honest about it.

It's about power, and whatever dear leader wants. Oh, and trolling.
