New Flo rankings are out. We moved ahead of Ohio State slightly for 2nd. At 133 - Davino #1, Blaze #2, Jax #3. Sprately got #4.

One of the things that seems to always happen toward the end of a season and there are differences about rankings is that the difference turns out to be are you ranking the best wrestler right now? Or who had the best season? I think that's one of the things we're seeing with Jax.
I don't agree with Cody or Konner's ranking.
Theres no one ahead of him who he's beat? His best win is 5-2 over #10 from ASU who's 19-8. His next best win was 2-1 over #18 Mora from OU who's 19-7. Yonger #1 and Trumble #2 are undefeated. 3-7 all have wins over each other. KD didnt get a shot at Kueter either dual and that didnt help but I understand the ranking. He just doesnt have the quality wins.

IDC what Merrill's ranking is as long as hes on the bottom of the bracket. Thats his best shot of making the finals.
Cody should be 6th. He lost to number 5 Sammy Sasso if I remember right in the dual. He lost to Novak who is rated 3rd and Elam who is rated 2. He did not wrestle Little, but Little won Pac-12 beating number 9 Rademacher plus Little is a 2 time All American. Cody needs more offense against the real good wrestlers. Cody is an inch a way from being a finalist. He just needs to improve a little in the next 8 days. I know ratings are by results from this year but still he is a 2 time All American.
I like how Cody is coming on strong at the end of the season. His pace has picked up a lot and he's taking more shots. I think he is ready to knock one of the highly ranked guys off at nationals.

As far as my other post about not caring where Cody is ranked as long as he's on the bottom I stand on that. But for the record Flo does currently have him 6th and and thats nice because it puts him om the bottom.
Keuter and Mirasola over him is BS.

Just to get a view from another fan base, I looked at the Iowa wrestling board regarding nationals seedling. There is a fairly long thread about overall seedings and around half of them are about the 133 pound weight class. Most of them feel Jax based on recent performances should get the 1 seed but maybe about half think Davino should get the 1 seed as a reward for wrestling all season and also the way the ranking formula is set up.
So, similar to the discussion on our board. Recent performances favor Jax but season results and the ranking formula favors Davino. Even though there are some hard and fast numbers in the ranking formula there is also some subjectivity eg coaches rankings. So in that regard, even though not directly in the formula, the fact that Jax made the senior world team is not without meaning.

I think every other post recently turned out to Jax seeding post. But I dont think Jax gets 1 seed. He will get 2 or 3. My hope is that again Davino and Blaze face each other, and Jax faces Siedel. Cause Blaze style is boring. I dont want to see that match up.
I dont understand this? His last 3 matches were Novak (#3), DJ Parker (#10), and Berge (#11, previously #6). So he goes SV1 w/ the #3 guy in the nation, beats DJ 6-4 getting a td on a really long opponent that he didnt get in the dual and then beats another solid ranked guy 4-1 to take third in what is a tougher conference bracket than the B10's. And Thats weak?
