He definitely doesnt talk like he came off a drug induced all nighter though. Dude was polite and appreciative.

Interesting to see how the Dunk Contest was first set up- 3 judges, the dunking style, etc.

It originated with the ABA in ‘76…




The '77 contest was crazy. It was a by product of the NBA/ ABA merger, and it was held all season long, with the championship round held during the NBA Finals. And it wasn't considered an official NBA event.

The contest then completely disappeared until the 1984 All Star game.

The Pacers gave Hillman a trophy for his win, 40 years later in 2017.
