Got to get a big man presence because right now it is almost all behind the arc with the defense just switching and sticking with our players.

I still say we can pass it into the free throw line area and get open shots or drives to the bucket because most teams have 4 defeners outside the arc.

We're Iowa. Of course he won't.

McCollum is finding out how hard it is to break young, gullible, attention-deficient athletes'/recruits' minds of the stigma that is the University of Iowa in the state of Iowa.

It's basically impossible to do in 2026.

this team has exceeded my expectations! This is basically the drake roster playing a Big Ten schedule so there will be ups & downs with some inconsistent play! they are sitting in good position to make a run in the tourney, & they actually play some defense, this season has been the most fun for me to watch for the last 5-10 years of Iowa BBall

Yes, that area is so wide open most of the time. We have to make the defense collapse to free up shooters. We might not have the personnel to "high/low" like the women's team, but we do have some guys that can put the defense in conflict from the high post area. 20 seconds of perimeter handoffs waiting for Bennet to jack up a shot at the buzzer isn't cutting it against good teams.

Unfortunately there are not a lot of guys I want shooting the 3….definitely not Howard or Combs (yes I realize he made a clutch 3 vs Nebbie). I thinks Banks is (% wise) is our best, but he seems to be more of a ‘in the paint’ player…I also think if Tate played more that he would be a viable threat.😎
