Again, you must not have watched the match and the ******** penalty point they awarded Haines.
I'm dogging the refs not Haines. All tourney long backing straight off the mat gets you a stall call. The figure 4 on the they head was upheld, but was still an iffy call.
Haines is capable of so much more, not doubting the kid.

Haines was on his legs all match too. That was just a great match by two very good wrestlers. Not everything has to work as a grand narrative. Haines won that match fair and square.

Absolutely ridiculous NEITHER of those were called takedowns. It couldn't be more obvious on the replay. I will say MM probably could have been called for an illegal slam but still just awful officiating. Just scrap the replay if whoever is reviewing them doesn't know what a takedown is.
Welsch took the majority of shots during regulation. Max should have been dinged again in regulation.
