Penn State with 8 wrestlers in tomorrow’s finals.

Interestingly, Nebraska is next with 4 in the finals (including AJ Ferrari), while Ohio State - who I thought might challenge Penn State - has just 3. Meanwhile, Iowa has just ONE in the finals. 😂

What happened to the Ferrari at Iowa?
He won his consolation match today, similar to Ryder, and Medical Forfeited the rest of the tourney...He'll Wrestle at NCAAs.

Of the 8 PSU has qualified, they're favored in 7 of them.

I am interested in seeing if Caliendo can somehow beat Messenbrink.

Mesenbrink is 7-0 against Caliendo and 5 or 6 of those were by TF or major. Lockett would have a better shot of winning.

I'm think whoever wins Big 10 will get 1, Jax should get 2, Whoever loses Big 10 will be 3/4 with Acc winner.

Lilledahl won in over time with the takedown. Volk wrestled tough but needed to take it to ride outs to have a chance. Lilledahl was better on his feet and close on several takedowns in regulation. Loved seeing Davino beat Blaze with ride outs. Mendez won with a solid 7 to 2 win over hardy. Van Ness in close matches before the final but Stiles turned into Van Ness and that was the end of the match, pin. Duke majored Taylor getting revenge and was dominant over Taylor. Duke will be very hard to beat.

Caliendo got majored by Mesenbrink. Lots of takedowns, and he never stops attacking. Dee should watch him wrestle. By the way we would be making a big mistake if Dee left because his potential is unlimited. He does need to get in better shape and cut this edge wrestling out.

Yeah, he’s not out of shape. It looks gassed, but it is simple mind control tactics and trying to slow stuff down that can benefit him.
Penn St. is so frustrating being so good but also every call goes their way. Minto lost to Haines because of an illegal hold (scissoring head). McEnnally got a powerful takedown in overtime but time just out and so Welsh wins on an quick escape.

I haven’t seen them. My pick in March is still mad Max.

The good thing about 74, Is this possible armor chink with Haines?

Penn St. finishes with SEVEN Big Ten champs. All but one of the 8 that made the finals won.

Scary, Josh Barr won by tech over McDaniel and he is a bigger Mesenbrink. Takedown after takedown, I think Thompson beat him in high school. He wrestled like Thompson low scoring but boy has he advanced.

Yes, they are dominant and we are not in their league yet. We really need our young wrestlers jump a level this off season like Jax has. Besides great quality Penn St. recruits kids who buy in to their program.

I don’t think it’s going to be terrible for him. I think that’s why David had him Wrestle Seidel instead of hit an open.

Either way, there’s already for a lobby to see Jax/Blaze, which means 2-3 seed most likely.
If they wrestle, I have some concern that Blaze will be able to slow Jax down with his great defense and stance. I would pick Jax to win and if he can go wild on Blaze I will be very happy.

It may depend on who's the ref, these guys have showed great inconsistency. First ~20s in finals Blaze backed straight off the mat no stall. Hardy did same thing first 20 got dinged for stalling. I dont remember Blaze taking a single shot in 7 min regulation. If Blaze is warned for stalling he'll have to come out of his defensive position.

Well it's not working anymore against quality opponents so he needs to just come out guns blazing
Which is really what everyone wants, but aren’t saying correctly.

He’s not out of shape, he’s not mailing anything in. He’s won at a high level for a long time doing it this way. Those old habits are hard to break.

He’s gonna have to break it though.

I hate to say this but I'd rather watch Dean Heil wrestle and I didn't enjoy watching Dean.

NO. With all due respect, put me on the 180 degree opposite of this take.
