Everything he is saying is true. I don't count JQ because he was injured from the start, but even if you had Lowe and Williams all season, we're probably sitting at 22-9 at best instead of 19-12.
That still sucks. The Popepourri Sprayers need to realize this thing doesn't just magically get better with a healthy team. Pope is the issue. The man cannot land elite recruits or elite portal transfers. He has to overpay for 2nd tier players.

I’d take 10,000 and dive all over that court like a maniac. Talent isn’t good enough to match 22 million but it’s better than the effort they’ve given. Which is on the Coach.

I quit listen to Dick after he spewed off about the 22 million dollar roster. No mention of our 3 major injuries or the fact that we are a lock for the Dance or our big wins over Vanderbilt, St Johns and TN x2. Any mention of the Miracle at LSU or did he bring up the Lattener shot again?

No amount of money will guarantee a perfect game. This year its been so obvious.
There’s nothing to argue with there. It’s just a truthful statement.
We’ve got the most expensive roster in the country, but not even slightly close to the best talent. That alone makes it obvious that we didn’t spend our NIL money as wisely as we should have.

He’s usually a uk supporter but I think he’s harder on uk now b/c he thinks we ran Cal out.
Dick Vitale is not the only one saying it, he just has a national audience. I live out of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and believe me, I hear it. The saving grace is there are few basketball fans around me so it is not as much chatter as some places. But if I wear UK basketball gear, the question will come up. "You spent $22 million on that"?

Good luck getting anything out of him from here on out. If you make comments like that, you better not fail, he failed badly.
On the injuries, I do agree we weren't a title threat with those 3 guys, but I won't agree with those that say the injuries didn’t make that much of a difference. They certainly do. Those are 3 starters and I know we like to sh*t on Lowe, but he never got the chance to develop and all we ever saw, was a kid trying to play with 1 arm and he was about impossible to guard 1 on 1. When he focused on assists, he was really good.
Kam Willians was starting to hit his stride. He was/is a far better stretch 4 than Jelevic. He is a matchup problem for most teams we play.
As far as JQ, it was a roll of the dice by Pope and that was a bad move. If JQ was able to play from January on, he’s a far better option than BG, I think we can all agree on that.
The problem with having these 3 guys available is, Pope would have tried to play all 12 guys and that's just dumb.
I do think we would have a much better record right now if we had those guys, but with Pope's substitution ideals, this team never would have hit their potential.
If I had to guess, I'd say we would be sitting at 8 losses right now if we had all 3 injured players, but it's hard to say, Mark just does too many things that inhibit winning.

He is also the guy who screamed for Pearl to be fired for the barbque scandal before it was even investigated but publicly called for PJ Hairston to be reinstated and for UNC to get off the hook for the academic scandal. Needless to say, I am not a Vitale fan. To me he is a bag of hot air.
Stop with the 3 injuries. We don’t have 3 injured players. It’s turning into a flat out lie to cover for a coach regardless of how bad it’s damaging the program. JQ was never really part of this roster. Injured while recruited with a pretty severe injury. Never expected until “possibly” Jan or Feb. didn’t make it, didn’t really play, which was always near likely scenario. He’s got nothing to do with it.
