I'm not gonna crap on Gabe. He's doing what he can to get on the mat but finishing 9th/10th to get the last AQ spot isn't going to be a best-selling book.

I hope he can find a way to get a win or two in 2 weeks but it's probably going to be a rough tournament for Gabe.

While I agree, kudos to Gabe. Up two weights in the B10 and qualifying from the 13 seed is impressive. Kid is all heart and I'm glad he is a Hawk. Can't score any points at NCAAs if you don't get there.

Bouzakis in on a leg. Peterson tires to fight it off but Bouzakis finishes. 4-3. Blood time again.

That was some impressive defense by Dean for a little bit but unfortunately eventually gives up the takedown . Bazooka Nic seems to have something going on with his shoulder. Dean has to get the escape before the period ends

Peterson on a double leg but Bouzakis feeds him hips. Stalemate. Ayala starts bottom in the 3rd. Out quickly. 1-1.

Despite the injury Dean has looked calm and collected this tournament, which is good to see.

More blood time for Peterson. Peterson in on a single but Bouzakis throws in the whizzer and the 2nd period ends. 5-3 Bouzakis. Ayala and Byrd going to SV.

Bouzakis has had like 5 minutes of blood time. Really disrupting the match because the corner just wipes the blood and send him back out.
