same thing happened last big 12 Championships. We didn’t do well on the championship games.
Facundo got caught, unlucky. He was better.
Robideau can’t over come Larkins length. Might affect his seeding.
Dee was disappointing. He needs to shoot when he is not on the edge too. Strategy change is needed and he needs to listen to DT. But he is true freshmen with gas tank issues. He will be better next season.

Him not listening to DT is the worst.

Echemendia was gassed at the end.
For starting out terrible the finals did not end up being bad. The team ended up dominating with another Big 12 team Championship. Swiderski started with a win at 149. He had a super quick ankle pick for the 3 points that won it for him. He stayed in control until near the end but played good defense to win. Robideau just finished on 1 of his shots and that not finishing added up to a loss. He chose neutral because after he lost a takedown Larkin put in legs and Landon never came close to getting away in maybe 40 seconds. He was so close to the takedown at the end for the win but again couldn't finish and therefore lost. Lockett did not get a takedown and therefore lost. A guy with his talent should be able to get a takedown in 10 minutes of wrestling. Why does he think the edge of the mat is his friend? Also always looking for a chance to rest, the best don't do that. Facundo made a big mistake getting cradled and therefore is not a Big 12 Champ. Doucet wrestled smart but lost to a better wrestler, kept it close. At this point I thought what a lousy night but Spratley, Jax and Vega turned it around. Spratley wrestled smart but missed on a couple of takedown attempts. Then got a reversal to make it 2 to 1 and not only rode Stevo out but got 2 back points to boot. With the reversal occurring with lots of time left I thought it would end up tied but Troy came thru in the clutch. Jax is at a different level with scramble takedowns and a few back points. I thought he would get the takedown for the tech but just missed it. Sergio pulled out another classic win against a very good opponent. I thought he would give up the escape in overtime when he just had a hold of 1 ankle with 1 hand, but his grip strength is tremendous and skilled ( look at his cradles) and he holds on for the win after just missing a takedown by a split second. These last 3 matches made the night.

I think if we start at 125 on the night we would've got another win or two I think Facundo or Robideau pulls it out. The energy would've seen different if we had won 4 by the time we finish 149. Dee just danced or more like moped around and had zero energy. Doucet just outmanned.
