Well. -3 from Q1 to Q2. Ava just a little off (but clearly leading the team) as is the whole offense. The press break started dreadful. Way too many turnovers. Way too many missed shots inside. We forced 4 fouls in about 4 minutes and they never got another othet than the and 1. Need to find ways to get the ball inside.

That was a brutally ugly first half.
It was like a backyard brawl

Usually Ava’s quickness is a huge strength, She needs to slow down and read the court when Michigan continually collapses on her.

Taylor does many things well, However her lack of quickness/foot speed is really being exploited by Michigan.

Hard to simulate pressure like this when you don't have the athletes to do it.

They usually practice against guys. I'd like to think they can find enough guys at the University to play pressure defense in practice.

As popular as Iowa women's basketball is, I assume there's a line out the door of guys wanting to be on the practice squad.

She does have 5 points on 2-4 shooting, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists in 16 minutes.
The 3 turnovers and shakiness overall with the ball has been an issue. But I like her being aggressive. Our perimeter players need to be more aggressive. If they’re not good enough so be it. But you can’t expect Ava and HS to completely carry the team. Why I love Wright being aggressive..

I know they do but the guys they get are not that great. They have to get players that will still allow the girls to be successful. If not, their confidence would be horrible.

Hannah touches the ball more bringing it up the court than she does down low. Might as well call her our point guard
