Getting shut down by this pitching staff is just embarrassing
70 pitches after 5 innings against a completely average lefty arm in a game after you just got run ruled says everything you need to know about this offense
Staring to look like another long day . Out hitting is just lost . We are just feeling for the ball . Low exit velo . Virginia has hitters and we simply don't .
UVA is making us look like a JV team out there. We haven’t done one thing well all weekend.
I’m not super concerned yet, because I remember Stanford and Louisville last year, but I don’t feel great. We have got to do better at the plate. There’s no excuse.
I would lying if I said that I am not concerned about the prospects of this team's success this year. There is time to turn it around, but the problems didn't start this weekend.
We were competitive in those games except maybe one of those games (Sunday against Louisville)….not anywhere close to relatable to this series…
We are about to get run ruled again. I think we need to greatly lower expectations.
We are simply a bad baseball team right now. Long season ahead but this is bad . Time to start playing the young kids we recruited out high school.
Forbes preaches “process”, I get not wanting to get “too high or too low” but it keeps showing up as laying eggs and completely rolling over. Something has to give. There just isn’t any juice anywhere on the roster. Knapp was a dog. Kepley was a dog. Stokely would get fired up. Guys that brought energy. I don’t see those guys so far this season.
You simply have to find a way to compete. You can’t get embarrassed at home in a conference opener and come right back the next day and allow the exact same thing to happen. Not a good baseball team at all right now. Time to turn it around but to get smoked like this out of the gate AT HOME where the Heels have been just about unbeatable is not a good sign.
Really thought baseball would be a bright spot this year. Oh well, we just don't compete. Where's the pride and competitive spirit?
Good to see Gavin barrel one. Like how he ran the bases and got in the dugout. Setting tone that we have work to do, and one bomb is just a start. A lot more baseball to play today

This is embarrassing. These two games have been about as uncompetitve as it as it gets. Disappointing to say the least.
Is it the way we are coached or the way the individual players are approaching it?
We have every trusted BP arm available for game 2, sure hope we actually see them. The offense needs to get going a little in the late innings to gain some sort of confidence.

I don’t know, sometimes too much information is a bad a thing. Baseball is the most natural talent sport there is, we’re not using that very well right now.
The third baseman needs to go to the bench. He is totally lost at the plate. Move Gavin back to third and play a freshman at 2nd base . Also give black some run as he has some pop as is young.
