Fantastic point, this is where Ryan struggles in the pitch count and where strikeouts can actually be a hinderance. One of the reasons that Jake was terrific because he was so efficient.

We’re so off balance at the plate, at some point we have to make a decision to sit on something and when you get it, you have to drive it. You can’t go to the plate without some sort of plan of attacking a certain pitch. Once and if you get in a 2 strike count then you adjust. But, we look exactly the same as yesterday.. a lot of guessing

Last year Lynch gave up three homers: VT, OU and Zona. Lots of loud contact for Lynch, last week it was weak ground balls. If UNC wants a chance to win the offense will have to find some sort of production

Pitching with two strikes and pitching with two outs always seems the hardest and the put away is always illusive
