Wow, haven't posted in this since August 31st! Damn I've been slacking.

Now I could claim I've given up drinking, but, well, I'd hear the howls of laughter from here.

So tonight I'm enjoying this:

Last night enjoyed a dram of the Macallan 12yo.
Have you ever had Glendronach 12? I like it more than Macallan 12. Definitely give it a try…

I got the outside lights hung yesterday thankfully, inside getting decorated today. Enjoying a nice Sierra Nevada Celebration.

I would definitely go with the Garrison Brothers. At my last job we had them as a client, and they sent us a bottle when they signed on. We kept it over sink in the kitchen (along with a Jameson 18yo and a couple of others), and on occasion the owner and I would break it out after work. Good stuff!
I’m going to drink them all!

I’ve gotten very boring as of late. I’ve pretty much settled into 3 drams depending on the mood and weather:

Lagavulin 16
Balvenie Double Wood 12
JW Green

I'm 39 so I have a system lol. In my 20s post college I was into craft beer. In my 30s I evolved to bourbon and tequila. I figure in my 40s I'll progress to scotch, and then my 50s I'll get into Japanese whiskey and cognac. My evolution is tied heavily to my discretionary income levels lol.

Don’t forget to hit the gin in your 60s.

I jumped in in my 40s. It’s versatile.

There are so many stops. I’m still on Tequila on the rocks. Just don’t take tha expensive wine detour.
Wine is probably the only alcoholic beverage I truly can't see myself getting invested in. Outside of a merlot or Cabernet with a steak, it never really called out to me.

Haven’t ordered merlot for decades now. The movie Sideways had A lasting impact.

I give up alcohol every year for lent (Have not had an adult beverage for 25+ years on St Pats day). So sadly tonight, and the next 29 days, for me will be sparkling water with lemon or lime. Yep, pretty lame response for this thread. Sorry.

In my house seltzer with vodka is a super hit. There is a brand called spindrift that makes a cosmo or mojito seltzer. So your half way there and can pick up where you left off in a few weeks.

Ardbeg 10 Cask Strength Committee Exclusive. This was just released here in the US. Ardbeg fans have been wanting this for a while now. I was lucky enough to get one.

If you like peat you will be a fan of this. You can also tell it's a cask strength.
If you're picking Ardbeg--and I do, a lot--you're looking for peat. Not just a little, not just the type that let's you know that you damn well just had a scotch, but the type that scrunches up the noses of the wives across the room and forces them to leave.

Yup my wife definitely knew what I was drinking last night. Try to get the 10 year old cask strength if you can. It will not disappoint and is worth the price IMO

$100 well spent. Stagg Jr. Pure rocket fuel at almost 130 proof. Anyone in South Jersey should check out the Wine Cave on 73. Place has great selection and for reasonable prices.1000010991.jpg
