Rutgers best defense is a full court press that creates turnovers and time off the shot clock. They have plenty players on the roster to use that defense like St,Johns. The half court defense stinks allowing dunks, layups and wide open 3 pointers.
In fairness, there were a lot of instances where Michigan State broke our press and would have attacked with a numerical advantage in a normal circumstance. They just weren't inclined to do that with a big lead down the stretch.

We fell short, but that was one of the all-time best comebacks I’ve seen by RU in 50 years. Gotta be the best comeback that ended in a loss, especially when you consider it was on the road to the #8 team in the country.

Also wow with that over, one of the softest performances I've seen watching college basketball from DG tonight. 1-8 FG with about four air balls, and I think the most damning stat might be zero personal fouls while being physically abused all game long.

It's not a comeback when you lose (and don't even regain the lead).

MSU also carved up the press earlier though. Got em rattled down the stretch.

God was he awfull - might have even won if he didn't play - and he wants a million? He is a mid level D1 player AT BEST.

Credit where credit is due, we don’t even sniff that comeback without the flurry by Manny right before he fouled out.

Then Lino, Tariq, Powers, Buchanan, and Nwuli pitched in. Nothing from Grant and not much from Davis during that last 6-minute stretch.

Very nice effort. Manny gets called for some ticky tack fouls.

MSU does fouling screen no fouls.

I would keep those five and Davis. Send everyone else packing.
