Just great!
I love hurting our economy so that Isreal can dominate the Middle East!Amazing! Just what the average American wants. Another long lasting war in the Middle East. I am just so excited!
Just great!
We would continue to get fleeced as citizens while our government entered another Middle Eastern war putting fellow citizens in danger, not to mention our service members. And we'd be uninformed while it happened!I wonder what it would be like if everyone turned off their tv and put their phone away?
Then I'd have to do all my thinking myself, and I don't wanna.I wonder what it would be like if everyone turned off their tv and put their phone away?
I think we have a huge problem of people not thinking for themselves. Then I'd have to do all my thinking myself, and I don't wanna.
Well, hell yes I deny that. That's ridiculous. What's to explain. Iraq is a democratic republic that is no longer a threat to its neighbors. Do you deny that?
It would be a lot harder to manufacture public consent for broadly unpopular foreign adventurismI wonder what it would be like if everyone turned off their tv and put their phone away?
You didn't say that? You have reading comprehension issues
Yeah I probably went a little overboard at times but I think the weapon porn stuff feels a little like alphabet soup and comes off as navel gazing. Clausewitz said that war is politics by other means. I think it is good to include some of the wider context in these discussions. Now I won't/shouldn't give my opinion on like Trump or or Hegseth or whatever, but the flip side of that coin is dismissing any non-Fox News source as horsecrap. We are seemingly getting involved in our largest middle eastern conflict (conflict in general) in 20+ years. I think it is important to discuss our wider goals and objectives.Would you have preferred we stuck to strictly operational information and weapon porn? I think there is a worthwhile discussion on larger strategic objectives, esp when framed by historical perspective. Admittedly, there is some BS here. But in many ways, it reminds me of an in-game thread.
What the hell is Dabo doing? What the hell is DJT doing? He said what at the press conference? He tweeted what? Why are we not throwing deep? We need more B2s We cannot even get 1 yard No troops on the ground GR is a doosh PH is a doosh My locker room is the portal its ILLEGAL TO BUY AND FIELD FOREIGN WEAPONS
I bet we could think of more and better if we try harder.

A little contrition goes a long way, good sir. Dialogue is good. I don't agree with everything you type. However, you have not offended my sense of decency and good taste and I have never been accused of having a high bar.Yeah I probably went a little overboard at times but I think the weapon porn stuff feels a little like alphabet soup and comes off as navel gazing. They have multiple armed militia groups that run parts of the country. Not idealIraq is a democratic* republic** that is no longer a threat*** to its neighbors****
I definitely said somethings I shouldn't but the (truly bizarre) homophobia thing and being told I supported the ayatollahs got my hackles up. You seem like a reasonable guy and I'm glad we can have some dialogueA little contrition goes a long way, good sir. Dialogue is good. I don't agree with everything you type. Massive corruption, ongoing sectarian violence, entire regions of the country that are under de facto control of groups antagonistic to the ruling government, an inability of the governmental system to actually get anything done let alone project de jure control over the country writ large...They have multiple armed militia groups that run parts of the country. Not ideal

State Department is now closing the embassy in Kuwait.
Israeli media reporting that the US and Israel are facing declining weapons stocks so we are now decreasing the frequency of strikes instead of the longevity of operations
Just great!
Hmmm what did you mean by this thenYeah. That isn’t what happened at all.
The unwitting self-own of using Pape and then El-Gamal was the real highlight of the @tboonpickens and @GDead_Tiger multipage frotting session. The chef’s kiss, if you will.
Reality denierWell, hell yes I deny that. That's ridiculous.
It might be easier at this point for you to tell us what news agencies you find acceptable. So the Politico is your source.![]()
No but nice try. BTW, who funds those milita groups? Hint: we're bombing the **** out of them now. They have multiple armed militia groups that run parts of the country. Not ideal
"I don't like this well respected news organization because I think they're dumb libruls!!!!"So the Politico is your source.
There aren't enough targets to last us until September.
Not true.State Department is now closing the embassy in Kuwait.
Israeli media reporting that the US and Israel are facing declining weapons stocks so we are now decreasing the frequency of strikes instead of the longevity of operations
And our bombing will keep Iran from funding them how?No but nice try. BTW, who funds those milita groups? Hint: we're bombing the **** out of them now.
I suggest you go offline, crawl into a fetal position, and we'll call you when the scary stuff is over in a few weeks."I don't like this well respected news organization because I think they're dumb libruls!!!!"
Yeah I thought we'd be out of targets by then too but if we continue to just lob missiles at each other and start expanding targets/objectives then it could be longer. We fired on Iranian-backed militias in Baghdad yesterday, are trying to get the Kurds involved, Iran has all their drone stuff, and Trump said he wants to be able to pick who leads Iran (seems like we're expanding the war goals), so there is impetus to keep this going. You said our "simple" war goals are to keep Iran from projecting power for a decade. Well that will take longer than two weeks
What are you talking about manI suggest you go offline, crawl into a fetal position, and we'll call you when the scary stuff is over in a few weeks.
Ahhhhh I can't fund Shia militias if I have to rebuild my military and infrastructure can I? Oh and if all my key leaders are dead, who's going to organize it?And our bombing will keep Iran from funding them how?
Are we totally destroying the IRGC and I just missed that? They've already picked a new leader, Khamenei's sonAhhhhh I can't fund Shia militias if I have to rebuild my military and infrastructure can I? Oh and if all my key leaders are dead, who's going to organize it?
Which part? Love the refuting I'm getting on this stuffNot true.
A troll with tons of experience and first-hand knowledge with little patience for curious minds that want to know. Probably sat in the back of the classroom and muttered idiot at the expense of people up front who has asked ill-informed questions. Troll should be a little more gracious with his genius and we need to be less sensitive to his old man digs.I haven't been on this board long. I assume PawsFan is just a troll?
He's an Ashli Babbitt stan if that tells you anything.I haven't been on this board long. I assume PawsFan is just a troll?
Well, you do know, they are running out of options?Lacks the senior clerical rank to be Ayatollah, technically. Is also a hardliner with experience in the security apparatus of the IRGC and Basij. Will be interesting to see how the more conservative factions within the clerics view the dynastic succession, but this pretty much confirms the IRGC are running the show now.
