You did so earlier
Where? And this is the problem, any information that you don't like you think is "biased propaganda" and immediately dismiss out of hand.

It isn’t. We aren’t buying interceptors from UKR. We build our own and share technology
It very well could be true, especially considering that Hegseth and Caine have been (according to multiple sources and even direct quotes I think) surprised at the efficacy of Iran's Shahed drones

Saddam killed a lot of his own people as well and was undoubtedly a massive shitheel.

What we got within a decade of removing him was arguably worse.
Also Saddam, even though the ba'ath party existed, had a bit more of a personalist regime over Iraq, similar to Assad in Syria. What Iran has is more systemic and self-sustaining at this point

Ok so some reporting on the school and health clinic that got blown up on the first day in Minab.

https://www.npr.org/2026/03/04/nx-s...school-was-more-extensive-than-first-reported (This article has the best information)

https://people.com/nearly-200-killed-strike-iranian-girls-school-un-urges-investigation-11918212 (This article has the best pictures)

So combined with the reporting on using AI systems for target selection and coordinates, it seems like:

1-The bombing came from our end of things. It was in our area of operations, not the Israelis.

2-We hadn't updated our target info to account for changes to the base and building usage that occurred more than a decade ago.

3-We put info into the AI systems and they spit out targeting info, and we used that without doing more due diligence.
Man, that NPR article in particular seems to lay waste to the early narrative that this was some kind of failed Iranian missile launch that resulted in a deadly blowback. Just ******* awful. Those drone shots of the mass graves for those poor girls will live in infamy.

I’m trying to find the source but it appears that Hegseth and Caine have a bit surprised by Iran’s Shahed drones (or whatever their precise name is) even though we copied them and have seen how well drones have been used in Ukraine.

Found it. This is deeply embarrassing for leadership. https://www.cnn.com/2026/03/04/politics/us-air-defenses-iran-attack-drones-challenge

Right here you did it, you're quoting CNN. Do you not read the damn reports you cite?

DoD knows full well about the damn OWA threat, all the intel assessments passed up the chain noted it, and all were based on the 12 Day War findings and with Ukraine experience.

I do read them. I also know not to entirely dismiss them out of hand if they report info I don't like. There are multiple outlets and sources reporting that we seem somewhat surprised by the drones and their efficacy. Not sure why that seems unthinkable to you.

We literally CANT buy interceptors from Ukraine, its ILLEGAL.

DOD CANNOT BUY AND FIELD FOREIGN MADE WEAPONS. US law requires it to be majority US-built. My company sells drones to the DoD, there are tons of laws on this topic.

So you admit now that you were wrong and posted CNN? Who literally quote unnamed sources and make **** up because "orange man bad"

All intel assessments mentioned drone threats. CNN found the guy who didn't like what he heard in a classified briefing and wanted to get the Administration.

You're inability to deal with any information that challenges your worldview is staggering. Yes, I posted a CNN article. Yes, I couldn't remember off the top of my head if I had or not and I was too lazy to go back and pull it. If you think this is TDS then I don't know what to tell you.

Not sure what that last sentence means. Yes, we anticipated a drone threat. It is also being reported that the Shahed drones are more effective than we had anticipated.

I don't believe the US military or its leadership are some perfect organization. They never have been and never will be. It is war so that is impossible. Why are you so resistant to the idea that there might be some minor hiccups?

Which company? Wonder if we know some of the same people. You don't have to answer in this thread obviously.

Yes in the most cynical CIA spook way possible, a totalitarian dictator that mostly has cold beefs with rivals the region and is bad to his people is preferable to a decade+ of polyfactional regional civil war and a paramilitary theocratic terroristic pseudo-state doing war crimes for social media engagement.
Yeah whats worse: an evil dictator contained more or less to one country or a region spanning civil war with multiple factions that helped spawn one of the largest refugee crises in recent history and led to the deaths of untold thousands.

If Iraq is so stable why are we bombing Iranian-backed militias outside of Baghdad?

You have reading comprehension issues
Sorry, if I had gone to the Citadel they would have taught me that.

You said I support the Iranian regime. Sorry the exact phrasing was "You have defended Iran in this entire thread".

you’ve defended Iran and the attacks in this entire thread. I don’t need to go back through it and copy and paste
Find one instance, just one, of me doing that.

Doesn't matter who wrote it or anything, its ILLEGAL TO BUY AND FIELD FOREIGN WEAPONS.
Would not be the first time our government (or any) did something "illegal," especially in the time of war. Torture is illegal, too. I think land mines were at one time, as well. How many of US weapons components actually come from overseas?

Two things can be true at the same time.

Axios had a phone call with President Trump and he wants to be involved with picking Iran's next leader, similar to Venezuela. I will refrain from commentary as that will be political. https://www.axios.com/2026/03/05/iran-leader-trump-khamenei

Working to find the article/source but according to Politico, CENTCOM is saying internally that this whatever it is with Iran is likely to last through September

I mean even with the Disney TV special scenario where the Iranian people rise up and establish a western democracy with the power of friendship, there’s no way that any of this is done and settled and stable to the point where foreign peacekeepers aren’t required for months to years.

We better figure out to make it legal so we stop wasting $4 million dollar interceptors on $30k drones. The military industrial complex is undefeated in fleecing the tax payers. Neocons are just as bad as libtards wasting our money.

Would you have preferred we stuck to strictly operational information and weapon porn? I think there is a worthwhile discussion on larger strategic objectives, esp when framed by historical perspective. Admittedly, there is some BS here. But in many ways, it reminds me of an in-game thread.

What the hell is Dabo doing? What the hell is DJT doing?
He said what at the press conference? He tweeted what?
Why are we not throwing deep?We need more B2s
We cannot even get 1 yardNo troops on the ground
GR is a dooshPH is a doosh
My locker room is the portal its ILLEGAL TO BUY AND FIELD FOREIGN WEAPONS

I bet we could think of more and better if we try harder.
