I went to an RU game at ND in 1996 and heard Coach Holtz speak at the pep rally the evening before the game. We lost the game 62-0 so whatever he said worked.

Well, Terry Shea may have had something to with it as well. RIP Lou. As others have said, a legend in the game. Growing up it always seemed he was coaching and winning somewhere. Carved out a great career as a speaker too.

I was living in Houston when he was with Arkansas, had a guy worked with at the local country club who was a huge Razorbacks. Heard more than I wanted to about that team and program.

I was with FannieMae and got invited to a BOA event one year. Lou was the guest speaker and at that time I wasn't a LH fan at all. It changed in about 2 minutes in. At the end he was promoting his latest book. At the end he said "I've written more books than I've read" I think he was on his 3rd or 4th book! Lol. A great motivator, a hilarious guy. I don't know what BOA paid him but they got a bargain!
