The good news is 3 seed is still where we are at as long as they beat Iowa. I’ll chalk this one up to the late start time. 8pm starts are a huge advantage for west coast teams

For those of us that were in bed and did not watch any of it - WTF happened? I see we missed half of our Free Throws and shot 20% from 3.

Hopefully just a bad night after being on the road for 5 days and not a sign that they hit a wall at the end of the season.

The last thing Nebraska should be worried about is the Big Ten tournament. Its a waste of time unless you're on the bubble. Plus, if Michigan gives a **** they'll win every game by 20
Isn't your backup PG out for the year and your starting PG loves to get in foul trouble.

Agreed, but last night would have stamped OKC imo

Is it correct that Nebraska would hold the B1G Tournament seeding tie-breakers over both Illnois and MSU, if all 3 finish 15-5 in the conference?

And today the women blew a 20 point lead and will likely not make the NCAA tournament now. Williams should probably be fired. Two years of Britt Prince and she hasn't won jack. Britt should go play for Geno.

Worst game of the season for us. Really the first bad game pretty much from start to finish. Saying that 30 games into the season is pretty incredible.

Iowa takes Michigan to the wire, losing by three. Going to be another tough one Sunday. We must win to get a triple bye/Top 4 seed in the Big Ten Tournament. Or we'd have to have Wisconsin beat Purdue on the road or Illinois lose to Maryland. I don't see either of those happening.

We have not beaten a team with a .500 (current) record in conference since Jan 5. Mast is struggling from 3. Under 25% since Mich St. Unless we get better very soon, our season is

There is the little matter of playing a bunch of teams with winning records during the 20 game winning streak, which still count.

Adding a little more. Nebraska is currently 4-5 against teams with winning Big 10 records.

Illinois is also 4-5 against those teams.

Purdue is also 4-5 against those teams, along with a loss to a team with a losing conference record.

It does not count towards winning any more games. Does anyone care about the B1G tourney? We probably get MichSt or Illinois. Both will be tough. So we end as a four, or maybe five seed, depending on the Iowa game. I am much more worried about our first tourney win. Two would be great.

Making it to the Big Ten Championship game could bump us up to a 2-seed which would make it easier to get that first tourney win and make the Sweet 16.

A loss to Iowa and a quick exit from the Big Ten tourney could drop us to a 5-seed which puts us in the dreaded 5-12 matchup, and then have to play a 4-seed if you get past the first round. So yes, the Big Ten tourney is important for seeding.

Team looks a bit tired to me. I think some regression vs. the better teams should be expected. I hope they catch a second wind and at worst, bring home their first ever NCAA win.

If Nebraska beats Iowa on Sunday (and ESPN's matchup predictor has NU a 73% favorite), they will be no worse than the 3 seed in the B1G tournament, and probably the 2 seed. In that case, NU would most likely see UCLA again on Friday. In the event NU ends up the 3 seed, they are most likely seeing Wisconsin on Friday. Either is a bit of an odd situation, because if NU goes in as a 2 or 3 seed in the B1G Tournament probably locks them in at 3 in the NCAA Tournament even with a loss on Friday; and for probably the 2nd time in history - the conference tournament doesn't matter much.

If NU loses to Iowa Sunday, most likely they end up the 5 seed. That would be a significant disappointment and flip the script for the B1G tournament. As the 5 seed, NU would most likely be facing Minnesota or USC on Thursday - a game that even though they would be likely to win, would be a 'must win' to avoid slipping to maybe a 5 seed in the NCAA tournament. On top of that, they'd be playing Purdue or Illinois on Friday, needing that game to salvage a 4 seed in the NCAA tournament.

So Sunday against Iowa is a critical game for NU...win that, and enjoy the B1G tournament stress free. Lose it, and the angst level will be the highest it has been all season.

Nebraska beating the Clarkeyes and Michigan beats Sparty, Huskers will be seeded #2. End of story.
