She has been publicly extremely confident about the amount of money they’ve been able to raise for NIL and from corporations. I guess we’ll see in just a few months time how that impacts Basketball I didn’t quite see that materialize into anything special in the transfer portal for football.

I actually really enjoyed this interview. Kudos to her, she said she already met their goal for MBB to attack the portal. It’s up to Steve now. I think she’s the right person for the job. Time will tell. Me and my row d 200 levels though are nervous about a rac Reno.

Up to Steve is the scary part. Hes a fiercely loyal guy. He probably prefers to bring back as many current players as possible. He Believes in development and continuity, just looks at his successful years here. Current roster back with a decent improvement at Center for 2 mil, still is not close to top 10 in B1G

I wouldn't mind.... been fine with me for almost 50 years.

Come on man. I get people like the nostalgia of the few games where the RAC is one of the toughest places to play due to its size (small) and shape (odd).

But 50 years ago, when it was built (and it was an accidental design), the school, its teams, and the functionality of an arena on campus IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT! Like 3-4x over different now.

I'm not for changing .. for changes sake. And I like that the RAC keeps the reputation as a potentially very difficult place to play.

But the seating capacity for a University our size is not okay (both for games & for non-athletic functions).
The corridors are a disaster. No ability for traffic flow, the concessions setup is better at some high schools. And the bathrooms.
We host high end boosters and corporations for fundraising events, quite literally under the bleachers. Its bad.

I get many old timers like the RAC the way it is. And I get it would take a lot of planning, money, time, and disruption. But its no longer an acceptable venue for a power conference school with 35K+ students.
