A 12 and 14 loss season would cause most elite college basketball programs to consider moving on, especially when there are no recruits for next year. Kentucky on the other hand is looking at another 1-2 years of this BS while rumors of Ozelberger and Golden wanting to move to better schools likely leads them to other programs while we’re stuck with Pope.
We had a 15 minute lapse in the game where they outscored us 36-6. The other 22 minutes of game time we are up 65-48. It’s this teams kryptonite all year. Extended awful stretches in 60% of games. When we are on we look good but when we are off we look worse than bad.
You know your meltdowns in the game threads were legendary. You were a bit of a laughingstock on the old site. Now you’re a Pope ball washer and enjoy being a contrarian. I’ll give you credit, though. You probably are a Kentucky fan.

If we had wings! Coulda, shoulda, woulda. If we had a dang defense we could be up double digit instead of down double digit. We lack a strong defense and it is why we struggle.
This one is on Pope. Up 30-18 he goes with a terrible lineup because he can't possibly let the guys who built the lead get too many minutes and we give up 13-0 and 10-0 runs both in the final 8 mins of the half and Pope never bothered to call a timeout went to the locker room with the use it or lose it in his pocket.
Not to mention not having the team ready to know how to break a press or guard the 3 against a team when you know this is basically all they do.

Mitch is out in June. The new AD will either save this program or we're doomed to be UCLA and IU and UConn will be the new gold standard. And the Commonwealth will become one of the most depressing places on Earth. Rupp is flipping in his grave.
I swear watching Pope clap on the sideline down 13 with 2 minutes to play makes me quite annoyed.

I mean I don’t hate the guy. But it’s getting pretty bad. Need some kind of positive momentum. If he knows he’s in over his head we won’t bash him for doing the right thing. I don’t know many men that will admit failure tho.
