The pieces we have just don't fit all that well together. We get flashes of potential, but the chemistry doesn't mesh well every time out. A less talented team can beat a better one if they mesh better and play consistently.
Yea he’s something else. It’s amazing watching him make the same mistakes game after game.
And nobody at the presser will ask him about it.

Mediocre coaches allow mediocre shot selection. If UK has gotta get mine players at this point, that’s on the coach.

What’s scary is we are only down 12.. Popes strategy doesn’t work unless down 15 at least.

Why would he leave Florida? Already has 1 Champ there, might be another one this year. Beautiful weather, beaches, and less taxes. Tradition isn't the pull it used to be. Even coaches know that. We need an AD that knows how to spot talent in the coaching ranks and find us the next Golden.
With what we have left they probably do. Not to say we would have been great anyway cause the pieces didn’t fit. But this team is low low on remaining talent.
Texas A&M a bubble team just had a run that is almost like Kentucky’s 26-0 start against UCLA in 2015. Think about that. To make it even worse the coach used one timeout during the 27-3 run
I was screaming CALL EFFING TIME OUT. And he just wouldn't. I've never EVER seen a coach let that happen. Even Cal would do it eventually
Cal always got blamed when freshmen did those things n close ncaa tournament losses.
Pope looked at the scoreboard and we weren't down by double-digits and he said....'I won't stand for it!" He is not the answer. Go out west and coach Washington State or Cal but UK is not for you.
UK's current roster isn't built for this speed. They don't have the ball-handlers. This would have been a game where Lowe probably would have been fun to have. I'll be surprised if UK doesn't have at least 7 turnovers in the second-half and I think that's 3 more than they can win with - unless they shoot greater than 60% on 2s and 40% on 3s, and drastically flip the rebounding - especially limit the ORebs.

Cultism. "Fearless Leader" is a faultless god. It's the followers who fail him.
Plenty of blame to pass around. I’d love to see Pope gone. But I’d also love to see most of these players gone, too. We’re in a really bad spot right now. I’m not giving anybody a pass.
