Sure sounded like Mitch announcing retirement from the way he was talking. Hard to understand how you can say I don't wanna say it until the person can announce it for themselves and then make comments like he did that basically all but say Mitch is gone at 12:05 haha.

Matt just admitted to intentionally creating speculation to get ratings. If you have real information, just report it. Saying you’re holding back details because speculation boosts ratings makes it feel like the audience is being used instead of informed.

Mitch has been rumored by a lot to be moving on. Rumor went around big back in December. The guy shouldn’t be calling his own shot, he should be fired. It’s not right that this guy does what he does here and gets a golden parachute just because he sold out winning for dollars for so long.
Guy is awful in every sense of the word and needs to be ran out. He’s under a lot of pressure, I don’t know if a single person I’ve seen or talked to that doesn’t want him to go. If you look and his and the presidents faces during the stein pressure you can see they know it. He’s ruined himself.

KSR has teased this a few times and nothing happened. We shall see, it's mind boggling how he's still in charge tbh.
Are we going to get MB's understudy Marc Hill? Will they go after DeWayne Peevey at DePaul since he has ties to UK. Maybe just maybe we need a fresh set of eyes and will hopefully review how athletics are run at UK and bring some changes. New AD so he has no ties to the current coaches.

I will listen to the podcast later but I rarely make it through the whole show because I despise when he does this crap. Oh how I wish there was someone who would fill the void of talking UK that wasn’t either an employee of UK or a hack like Jones who is pissed at UK for cutting off his gravy train. I have tried locked on Kentucky but really not very insightful.
Us of of state folks really crave a good talk show and right now Jones, while infuriating is the main option.

Marc Hill is the Deputy AD. I'm not sure what UK policy is, but would he just be promoted up to AD? Or would they have to post the AD job so they don't violate any university hiring rules?
Whoever is moved into or hire for the AD position needs to be a top tier individual. No more of these horrible contracts. Hires the BEST coaches. Don't go hiding under your desk when there's a problem, own it and be upfront about it.
No not really. I saw this man up close working with coaches and he gave them what they needed. No micro-management. He was UL but still good at what he did. Just got caught up in that mess.
Can't disagree but if you can't beat em, join em is where I am at. With all this NIL money, GM positions, we need someone who can get dirty and win. What the hell; this good guy crap only gets you so much these days.

I think Mitch wants out before the lawsuit trial this summer involving the swim team abuses. He’s named in the suit, will have to testify, and it may not go well for him.
If Mitch is leaving, please, please, please, don't let Mitch have any say in his replacement. Don't hire from within. Go outside and find the best AD that money can buy.
