Can we PLEASE get the correct Rutgers Logo used for the B1G scroll?

I don't know if it bothers anyone else but I am so tired of seeing every other schools colored, outlined, Image Logo used and then there is Rutgers in a stupid plain non-outlined White Font that looks like it is low resolution letter just cut and paste form a power point page. These are the official logo's and even if they just use the White R for some reason it should have a defined black outline. Drives me crazy and looks micky mouse. This should be a point of Pride for the school and somebody is sleeping at the wheel . And yes, besides just ranting here I will be sending a note to the Ad and hope if any others feel the same they might do the same. Presentation1.jpg

What is the B1G scroll?

Bigten.org and scarletknights.com use the red Block R.

Running game scores/results and school Highlights that run bottom screen during games and shows. Same as the things you see on other networks like ESPN, FS1, etc....

Is the white Block R at the bottom right the Block R that disgruntles you? Seems ok to me. Maybe hold off on that letter to Keli or at least add more content to the letter.

I'm more bothered by the distance between the court and the student section. The cheerleaders get too much real estate. They are thin people and can operate in less space. When watching on TV, it seems no Rutgers students attend games.

The middle third of the student section was mostly full. Maybe move the band to the other side of the student section so TV viewers can see Rutgers students.

Put court side seats where the "Solving for safer" ad board is.

That is not the scroll. The scroll flows across the bottom of the screen right to left when watching other games... The one above is fine because it actually has the Black outline of the R to enhance it and is one of the official athletic logos. And BTW, that broadcast above was FS1 not BTN.

The one I am talking about and the B1G users for the "scroll" is plain white R without any outline.

and fixing this if FREE.. unlike the other concerns which I also agree with. As a student in 1977 when the RAC opened I sat courtside behind the opposing coach about 6 rows back so I certainly get how we've minimized the the Student effect over the years and reduced the capacity that I believe was originally 8,500.

And while we're at it we eliminated the other end (118) too for some money and no longer have ANY fan impact there as people just sit on their asses... no other school has done that. But I know that is never gonna change now.

Thank you for clarifying the Block R in the image I posted is not the Block R in the scroll to which you express opposition.

Could you share an image of the plain white R in the scroll?

Honestly I see the R outlining butchered and inconsistent everywhere . And that’s for a department that might be one of the most controlling and protective in the country.

the scarlet R with white outline against a black backdrop is our best display of it. And somewhat differentiates our brand vs the dozens of other red/white schools.

ok here you go. 2008 was Spot On. When using a black Background the Logo should be the Red with White outline (like Wisky does). You can see examples of where the other schools use Logos that have a distinct different outline color. Why we (or they) choose to use our White R with a black outline (I assume) that disappears makes it appear very generic especially with the white school names on the scroll. Hope that helps. Thanks for finding the image. I never would have noticed or cared about that. More focused on the 85 points Rutgers scored, the most this season after the 89 pointer versus Oregon in overtime.

Let us know if you write to Keli about this and whether she responds.

Ummm.... A white block R on a black background is a correct, approved logo.

Very nice responsiveness from Keli and her department. Obvious common sense for a change when the athletic department quickly addresses a matter quickly. Keli tells Hasim, a Rutgers grad who surely cares deeply about the integrity of the Block R, to fix it and it is fixed quickly.

One problem with advocating against a white Block R on a black background is its curator, Greg Schiano. This image is not AI generated, it is an actual photograph of Rutgers versus Penn State. Greg likes the white Block R on black.

The White R Greg uses on the black helmet has a RED Outline. The white R BTN used on a Black background had a BLACK outline that disappeared into the background.

Its not about a White R. It's about the outline when using it in relation to the background color.
