Another pulse check poll. After the good win against Vandy, do we keep consistent and beat the aggies or play questionable again?

A&M has struggled but definitely has talent and will be at home but I think we pull it out

Yes. A&M feasted on an easy schedule early but in February went 2-6 with the two wins being Ole Miss and Oklahoma. They're 0-5 against top-20 NET teams and 3-4 against teams ranked 30-54 (we're 27). They don't seem to have too strong a home advantage this year. I think it's CLOSE - just like they were close in their recent losses to Texas and Missouri and even Alabama - but I think we get a win.

I’m going with a loss to A@M and a win against Florida at home actually. Unless the team has finally figured out to pass with purpose not just to pass and they realize Chandler is on and needs the ball. I just don’t think it’ll happen. I think Pope knows it needs to happen but they don’t pay him attention half the time. We’ll see, but the MO of the team is to drop A@M after a decent win then show up for Florida at home.

Were better, we should. But you never know with this team. They're gonna try to beat us up and do what they do, gotta be tough with the ball cause they're gonna hack away. (Get some stick em Malachi)

You guys are setting yourself up for disappointment. The game is 50:50 as to whether we win or lose. I’d argue there’s a slightly higher chance of losing than winning because it’s on their home court. We lost to Auburn for Christ’s sake.

It's a trap question for me.

Yes - they will lose
No - They will win

that's kinda'; how it's gone two years running in the Pope era for me. Completely hit or miss, with a huge dose of insane shenanigans and absolutely head scratching losses ... It's a coin flip against whomever we play.

Seriously

So I abstain, but I do know ... it is not going to be easy or "fun" - much more like another rollercoaster of a crazy SEC road game for a team that, once again, is fighting for it's life to get a marquee win on thier schedule ....

Funny how everyone else seems to value a win over us, but then it immediately gets downplayed because "well, Kentucky isn't THAT good this year" argument....

So just go Win, Cats'.

"Slamming or spiking the ball on the court in college basketball is not an automatic technical foul, but it is highly likely to be called one at the referee's discretion. It is generally interpreted as a Class B technical foul for unsportsmanlike conduct or delaying the game."

I posted that to say that I don't believe that what Humphries did was either delaying the game or unsportsmanlike conduct. Players make all kinds of gestures in celebration of a big play and anyone with a brain could see that is ALL that was.

The call was total BS and another road game taken from us.

Be a tough one. A&M is reeling and needs the win badly. I’m not sure they’re a tournament lock.

If we play like we did yesterday, we can beat A&M. We can even beat Florida at home. I'm not sure we're good enough to beat Florida on a neutral floor. But we hung around in Gainsville. We got it to 1 or 2 points at one point. I think in Rupp, if we play a good, consistent, 40 minutes of quality basketball--we can take down Florida. I wouldn't bet money on it. But it wouldn't be a big surprise.

Kentucky can win it. A&M is a different team in SEC play once the competition got tougher. 2-6 over the last 8 games. Need to get off to another good 1st half start and take care of business with the double-bye still in play.

TXAM could be tough, not because they are a great team but because of our limited rotation. I think we need to build a lead early, because the Aggies will get into your legs late and Bucky ball is much more effective at home. Aberdeen has been handling the ball much better but many of our other players haven’t. I expect we have trouble with the press and lose a nailbaiter but I hope I’m wrong.

We should but we can’t let someone have the “game of their” life against us like at auburn & have lapses throughout the game. We aren’t good enough to “cruise” at any point and our big 3 have to play well, just hope pope doesn’t fall in love with the bench and try to play them more than they need to.

I’m not going to make a prediction because it will be a very close game but I will break it down for the OP:

Texas AM is at home.
Texas AM is 38 in KP.
Texas AM is 48 in O in KP.
Texas AM is 41 in D in KP.
Texas AM SOS is 60 in KP.

Kentucky is 25 in KP.
Ky is 37 in O in KP.
Ky is 29 in D in KP.
Ky SOS is 7 in KP.

So as you can see UK is ranked higher in KP in every single category listed.
UK has a much greater SOS.
Kentucky already has 2 bigger road wins on the season than the AM game would be, at Arkansas, at Tennessee.
UK is 10-4 in the SEC their last 14 gms while TAM is 7-7.
UK has won their last 2 while the Aggies have dropped their last 2.
Both teams are 19-10.
UK is playing for a double bye.
AM is not.

The ky team that beat Vanderbilt yesterday will be unrecognizable vs A&M . Popes teams have a pattern of coming out flat, unfocused and disjointed after a big win such as Vanderbilt.

I’m going to say that the Cats are going to put pressure on A&M to win their last game.

I sincerely believe that there's something wrong with Pat Adams, and he doesn't even know it.

I voted no . I’m worried about the ball handling of Aberdeen,Chandler,Oweh, and Jasper against their press .

Since we played so great against VU I expect us to come out flat and possibly lose. If we do lose I then expect us to beat UF. It's all a guess with this team. Who knows.

It is not 50:50 by definition if there is a higher chance of it going one way or the other.....
