No more risks. We’re Kentucky. We do not need to take risks and I hope Pope understands that.
My rationale is simply this:
Right now, our ceiling is probably sweet 16, floor is round of 64 loss.
Adding a former all SEC guy who brings a much needed “edge”, might raise our ceiling. It can’t lower our floor. So why not?
And if he ends up being an issue off/on the court, nothing much has changed for this season. Season is likely forgotten about in the grand scheme.

I cant tell who's serious or if everyone is joking around but you cant transfer mid season and play for the new team so even if the guy was healthy and ready to go, he wouldnt be playing for another team in the post season

We are placing our own restrictions and hurdles making it more difficult to recruit. Add to that the unwillingness to delegate responsibilities (GM) and staff not meeting the standards.
I think it is too late for him to be a factor this year.
But sign him and REDSHIRT him a couple years. 2028 will be here before we know it, and this guy would be a mature start to recruiting. He should be past his adolescent behavioral issues by then. Having middle school-age children can make a guy grow up and take on responsibility.
