I guess my question about these wars is pretty simple. Is this what the American people want? Seems like one guy shouldn’t be able to get us tied up in all this BS. Especially when he specifically campaigned against it
Sometimes you're left with no choice. Iran has been directly, and indirectly, responsible for hundreds of American deaths over the years. When a country whose main objective is to your demise and he of your allies is close to being able to make a nuclear weapon, sometimes you have to do certain things.

And you speak of one man getting us into all this BS. Congress hasn't declared war since WWII and hasn't authorized military force since 2002. Clinton had no authorization for Kosovo. Obama had no authorization for Libya when Gaddafi was overthrown.

From the WSJ:

U.S. Races to Accomplish Iran Mission Before Munitions Run Out

Trump says the Iran campaign might last a week or longer, but dwindling stockpiles could limit his options

I saw that and I am firmly convinced that there are people who were very much aware of these "dwindling stockpiles" who will make bank off of this .

Nearly every president in the last 100 years has used the military without authorization from Congress. Does the executive branch have too much power? Absolutely.

Can the president do military action with them? Sort of.

The feminists don’t care about those women. They want them to continue to be oppressed.
Why do feminists who dislike Trump want Iranian women to stay oppressed?

that was a difficult question to even type out.

I have to say Ai Flock of Seagulls Trump might be the happiest person (or fake person) I have ever seen.... That is pure joy.

And I might dress as bass playing jerry curl JD Vance for Halloween this year.

I think whoever made this was trying to make fun of them, but this is just absolutely awesome. If I were Trump, Vance, Marco, or Pete I'd own the shìt outta this. It would be like the time Prince used the Chappelle Show skit for an album cover.

The Bee's up and running too. Several "articles" on the front page now, a couple of headlines.

British Citizens Politely Ask If They Can Be Liberated From Radical Islam Next

"But, they've also treated me poorly, really nasty, to be honest. These British, they've said terrible things about me, your favorite President. I'm not sure they deserve to have me free them.

Iranian Generals Kicking Themselves For Not Just Meeting Over Zoom

"We may have made a bit of a boo-boo," said newly promoted Iranian general Heydar Rahimi. "You know, looking in retrospect, I can now see that maybe gathering all the top generals into one building was not that smart. They could have so easily just met on Zoom. But, the generals' pagers said to go, so they went." (the pager drop is some top notch stuff)

They never protested when they were being oppressed & massacred. But now that they’re being liberated here come the protests. You figure it out.
This is a completely illogical conclusion to draw.

Are the protests over wanting Iranian women to stay oppressed?
No?
Then claiming feminists who dislike Trump want Iranian women to be oppressed is incorrect at best and shamefully dishonest t worst.

The US is not the world police- I swear this was a position that many on the right held just a short time ago.

It is very possible to think Iranian women being free is a good thing while not thinking a bombing and invasion of Iran is a good thing.
Those two concepts can very much co-exist, and it doesn't mean feminists therefore want Iranian women to be oppressed.

It should surprise me that I just typed that explanation out, but this is SPS.

The old 'well everyone else did it, so why are you giving me a hard time?!' argument.

A classic argument to pull out when trying to justify.

This reminds me of what that great President of Peace, W Bush, said a quarter century ago...

"There's an old saying in Tennessee—I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee—that says, 'Fool me once, shame on...shame on you.' Fool me—you can't get fooled again."

Yeah the number of Americans I have seen on Facebook openly rooting for Iran simply because of their hatred of Trump is pretty sad.
Life success tip- stay off Facebook. It isn't reality.
And citing Facebook comments when discussing well, anything, says a lot about you.

Speaking of good intel.....I heard somebody on one of the networks tonight say that years ago when their president, Amidinijhad (no I'm not going to check how to spell it), created a special team to hunt down Mossad agents in Iran that all of the people he ended up recruiting were Mossad agents. Now that's getting in deep! Love Israel, hate Israel or indifferent.....do NOT 17 with Mossad.
Would not want to ever fight Israel. They got somebody backing them that's......well.....uhh...unbeatable!

He was a bad dude. Glad he’s gone. But let’s not act like we suddenly fixed all the problems. How did Iraq go after we got rid of Saddam? Also, we really fixed Afghanistan.

I know next to nothing about foreign affairs, so I’m not weighing in too much on this, but I do know that it feels like I have seen this movie before.
I had a friend when I was at State that served in Iraq. He did some military intelligence and told me the worse move we made was taking out Saddam. He was crazy, but kept others in check. When he was taken out he open the door for others to rise.

I’m calling bullshít on that.
BS on what? I am guessing it's the second you will call BS on.
I can't prove it, but I took issue with many military actions during Obama's 8 years.

Call BS, I guess. That doesn't change my first point, which is what is actually important here(instead of a petty unprovable or disprovable argument).

They were marching in NYC, protesting against taking out Iran. Do these dipshits realize that taking out Iran helps Ukraine and hurts Putin by cutting off his supply of drones that he is pounding them with?

I guess they hate Trump more than they love Ukraine.
I saw Iranians marching in celebration in LA.

Wait a minute - we were told we completely “obliterated” their nuclear program with the last attack. Unless this was simply for regime change?
Uh...we did and then we saw from satellite images they were back at the site trying to either rebuild, or find what they could to help build at another location.

Stop watching MSNBC if you don't want to be lied to. But then, maybe you do. Most Cali libs I know prefer obvious lies over any truth that is positive for Trump.

Sadly, that includes my own wife.
