I'm not as optimistic as you are. There's no such thing as a "good loss".He needs more time. We have had some really good losses this season to some really good teams, we are really close. Anyone who can't see that doesn't know what they are looking at.
This time next year, we'll be talking about our seeding in the NCAAT.
I’m telling ya, @18IsTheMan, you’re not keeping up! You’re gonna have to up your game to match @Piscis!He needs more time. We have had some really good losses this season to some really good teams, we are really close. Anyone who can't see that doesn't know what they are looking at.

You can’t exclude 2024. He did that, it happened.that's worse than bad........only 9 conference wins if you exclude 2024.

Have you been drinking canned sunshine again? He needs more time. We have had some really good losses this season to some really good teams, we are really close. Anyone who can't see that doesn't know what they are looking at.

Is this your attempt at sarcasm? He needs more time. We have had some really good losses this season to some really good teams, we are really close. Anyone who can't see that doesn't know what they are looking at.

In statistics, we call that the outlier. You can’t exclude 2024. He did that, it happened.
"One billion percent!"..... Oh, wait - wrong coach/sport.He needs more time. We have had some really good losses this season to some really good teams, we are really close. Anyone who can't see that doesn't know what they are looking at.

Even so, the outlier counts, and is evidence that when he has the right players he can coach winning basketball. I really don’t care either way, but if the admission is that the program hasn’t been supported well with adequate resources then how much fault is really his?In statistics, we call that the outlier.
It's all his. He has millions to prove it. He is less than average at his job and needs to be replaced.Even so, the outlier counts, and is evidence that when he has the right players he can coach winning basketball. Not saying that you’re wrong, but I disagree that it’s all his fault if in fact his hands are tied. It's all his. He has millions to prove it. He is less than average at his job and needs to be replaced.
If not we will be having this same conversation next year.
Hence the question of if the admission is that the program isn’t supported with adequate resources. If it’s not then the one good season should weigh more heavily, IMO, because you’re not supposed to be able to make chicken salad with chicken ****.If the one good season counts for something, how much do the 3 disastrously horrible seasons count for?
If that’s true, and the program is adequately supported to produce winning basketball, then the fault is absolutely his. Like I said, I don’t care either way.The problem is he can’t evaluate talent and recruit quality players out of the portal unless they are local guys wanting to come back home. Just look at the portal recruiting since Paris has been here—mostly huge misses. He was adequately supported this season as far as he was made available a number and didn’t use it all because he thought he put together a winner. The Big Spur put up an article today that shows how historically bad he has been here. So I’m not putting my faith in the outlier. I’m going with the entire body of work.
This attitude is why Beamer still has a job.Even so, the outlier counts, and is evidence that when he has the right players he can coach winning basketball. I really don’t care either way, but if the admission is that the program hasn’t been supported well with adequate resources then how much fault is really his?
I’m one who is of the opinion that Beamer should not have been hired as HC. That said however, it is not the same at all. Football is adequately supported and recruits in the top 25, so I absolutely think that is all on him. If basketball is not adequately supported with the resources needed then LP’s hands are pretty much tied. The key word in that argument being “IF”.This attitude is why Beamer still has a job.
