I still think for this team to do any damage from here on out, Pope has to play Jelavic 25-28 minutes. His upside is far greater than Garrison.

You don't gauge a coach off of one game. The non-schizophrenic fans look at the season as a whole and even Pope's coaching career at UK. That is how you make your determination on whether or not Pope should be the UK coach in the future.
Exactly. And judging that in games thread's is absolutely insane. We get pissed during losses. Happy during wins. That's called being a NORMAL FAN. I don't know why that's so hard for some of us to understand.

Pope has a lot left to prove. But today is how you start fixing some of that.

So are there still some of you who say Pope must go? Most schizophrenic fan base in sports
Dude, we're 10-6 in league play. 10 losdes on the season. Had 10 losses last year too and for most of this year, we have come out flat and been down by 20+.

Zero recruits for next year and he just spend a gazillion on a roster full of 6th men and thought he had a title winner. He’s not the guy. I tried talking myself into it, but he’s not the guy.

We get posts like yours after every win, but are nowhere to be found after all the losses.

I like Oweh but he played like absolute *** starting the year. Today made up for walking OoB at Memorial.

He's a good player. I like him. I also have wondered about some of his plays lately. But today is the Oweh we need.
Yeah, he was in a fog @ Vandy, weird game.
But the entire team was a train wreck for a long time, I won't put all that on Oweh.
Back in November, December and January, we all kept saying Oweh, DA, JJ and Lowe were so selfish, well, I can see one or two, but 4 players tells me it's not the players.

UK win, Louisville loss, all we need is an Arizona blowout of Kansas for the icing on the cake. I actually want Florida to beat Arkansas too so we can potentially pass them up in seeding for SECT.
UNC plays VT tonight. Need VT to win that one and it will be about as close to a perfect day of CBB that we've had in a good long while.

Agree. The same posters who complain about some fans screaming Pope should be fired because of one game do the same by saying that he should stay because of that same game.

Somebody was a cancer in the locker room. We will find out who in time. And maybe find out EXACTLY what happened before the UofL game.

Worst call of the game was taking away the 3 from Chandler because he stuck his leg out. Horrible call. It was barely out and already on the floor. Just awful.

And we have 2 players, who were supposed to be starters out with injuries and another who's possiby sitting out so he doesn't hurt his draft stock. But Pope has managed to get this team to play really well at times, will easily make the tournament and hopefully win some games there. You simply can't say he can't say he isn't the man for the job. But let him at least have a healthy team for a season before you declare he can't make it at Kentucky.

Example, keep subbing the way he does based on his analytics and it costs us games and he keeps racking up the losses it could cost him his job.'
Didn't seem to be a problem against Vandy. Besides the guys aren't machines they need a break from time to time. You see the adjustments he did with Jasper? Played the 2 his natural position not the 1. No turnovers. None. I think the subs did ok against Vandy and that's all you can ask for.

I'm a big analytics guy myself. Made a good living as a data analyst. Statistics don't lie. In most sports you play to the percentages. Analytics provide that type of analysis. Let's say there's a 20% chance to score a certain way versus 80%, which you gonna choose lol. I don't think you really understand analytics.

The entire time Pope has been at Kentucky, in only 16% of the games, he's had a full roster with no injuries. I think that's the biggest problem. Pope is good game coach. If you can't see that then you're blind.
