Jan almost ate her water cup when Stremlow passed the ball back to Hannah and she was fouled. Hannah was inbounding so that she wouldn't be the player at the line.

Stremlow decided to make all those that direspect Hannah cry.

(My reaction was the same as Jans in the moment)

Hannah knew she was not supposed to have the ball. She caught the ball and immediately passed it

Problem is that this exact thing has happened in other games. Hannah inbounds and they pass it right back. Need to tweak what they are doing there or POTENTIALLY have someone else inbound.

Hindsight, she hit both FTs.

Who would you rather play in the Qtr finals of the BTT........MSU, Maryland or Illinois?? Those are the most likely matchups. (Assuming we win at Wisconsin)

Even though we won I keep thinking about them hitting 9 three pointers in a row and how I've never seen a road team do that before and probably never will again. By 7 I was shocked and then they hit two more. To survive that is incredible. And it wasn't like they have star shooters on their team. For their coach to tell them to feed the paint on their last possession where it got stolen was megalol. Who does that when you have unicorn dust on every shot?

We sit in the 7th row across from iowa bench. Ava was gassing bad.. it's pretty obvious we whatever bug she is fighting is taking a toll...
Hopefully she will be 100% for the BTT and they play 3 games in 3 days.
It would be very tough trying to manage a young team come tournament time not knowing how they will hold up running that high pressure gauntlet.

For reference, In the rankings that actually affect seeding.

Net. Iowa 10. OU 13
SOS Iowa 13 OU 18
WAB Iowa 5 OU 11

Curious where you got the SOS ranks? When I look at Warren Nolan’s site, he has Iowa’s SOS as # 2, based on RPI, and # 3 based on NET. Also NET NonCon SOS # 37. OU is # 28 SOS based on RPI, and # 17 based on NET (# 128 NET NonCon SOS). Believe Committee uses NET SOS ranks.

11 seconds to go, Iowa up by 4 with Illinois inbounding and only 3 team fouls on the Hawks.

Opportunity to foul whomever catches the inbound pass and eat up 3-4 seconds forcing Illini to reinbound with 7-8 seconds on the clock...
Nope...Illinois hits a 3, still 10 seconds left and HS inbounds at half court and the ball is nearly stolen from Chit Chat before foul called.
Ended the 4th Q with 3 team fouls.

Way closer than it needed to be.
Did you watch the play.. they ran a play that I’d consider a foul beater.. Stremlow I believe got a little lost on the pass(which was a great one by Guyton). Ball was caught and passed out so even if they wanted to foul there was no foul opportunity.

Then if Houston fouls the shooter it risks a 4 point play.

Either way fouling in the late game is a preference… but it slows down the game and could lead to Iowa needing to make more fts.. not to mention Illinois had the arrow so there’s a trap and jump ball risk after made fts/shots.

I have no idea whether or not Hannah knew she was supposed to get the ball or not, but in that situation don't most players try and pass the ball before they get fouled in order to use up time on the clock?

That's his prediction without knowing anything.
You don’t know what I know.

Is this really what you come here to do, put people down? Grow up and get a life.

This is exactly why these forums go downhill. Moderators allow these so called alpha types to jump in and bully others instead of having an actual conversation.
