They got 55 players signed for 2026 kickoff season. I haven't seen the list, I'm guessing they went local to start and got a lot of players from CPS

I'm interested in that Roosevelt game in regards to talent on both sides of the ball. Also sucks they play Ft. Lauderdale at home in late October.

Wondering if the Dontrell Jackson listed from above is the Dontrell Jackson Jr. who was the QB at Marist a few years ago?
Most likely. He had an issue at Costal Carolina that you can Google and read about. He ended up at Quincy. Only other name I heard of on that list was Tyler Turner and that's because his Dad went to MC. This kid has been jumping around schools since leaving Phillips I thought he was done.

For a couple years, Chicago State football may be very similar to Last Chance U.

However, kids are going to get playing time and training, which can lead to moving up to bigger opportunities a few years down the road.
Their baseball team, which I think no longer exists, used to draw in some players, they had players from California and Arizona on the roster. I think they will get some good CPS players that may have been overlooked. It's gonna be bad for a long time but I hope to the good of the game they can stay afloat.

Where are they going to play their home games? Gately? Eckersall? Did they put something together on the campus?

Not sure, Roosevelt plays in Arlington Heights.
Probably one of the biggest draw against playing for them. Downtown campus, then have to drive to Arlington Heights to practice everyday. Ridiculous. Right across the street from Grant Park. I don't know why they can't find an open area in the City somewhere to practice

Yeah, cause D2 in general isn't filling up a high school stadium. Play at Taft.

IDK if its permanent, but this year they are playing at SeatGeek Stadium
If they draw more then 1000 a game I'd be stunned and that's high end. Maybe the first couple games out of curiosity but I don't see it holding up fan wise
