Thanks Grace. I was unable to follow the game today but did check the score. I was surprised to see this win listed as unsatisfying but I understand the concept of playing to your standard.

Why say it was unsatisfying and then not provide the context as to what Forbes was referring to in saying it wasn’t up to standards? Do we know?

I’m not sure what the team record is for triples in a season, but that bit of data may become incredibly relevant in the coming weeks.

@TommyAshley @GraceNugent what is your thoughts on seagraves tonight? I thought he would be a key piece of the bullpen or a midweek starter. I know it is a long season. Thanks for all you do.
Seagraves has been inconsistent with the strike zone in his two innings this year and his time last year. But it is still very early in just his second season. Has all the tools physically to be very good, but he’s walked three in two innings and needs to get that figured out.

As Forbes always says both in our interviews and in pressers, can’t defend walks. And it doesn’t matter if you can throw 96 if you can’t throw strikes.

That said, they’ll need Seagraves this season for sure.

Individual numbers already being tested …. Kepley had seven last season. Schaffner has 3 already in nine games.

Doesn’t it explain it in the first sentence?
No. It doesn’t. It just says they didn’t live up to expectations. It never addresses why. In fact, everything that follows are positive comments and details about the game. For those of us who weren’t able to see the game and are relying on the article about it, you should be able to gather from the article the support for the premise. Particularly when the score was 9-1 but Forbes wasn’t apparently thrilled with it. You should not have to go to another un-cited outside source to gather it.

I get your point to an extent but given the Forbes comments are linked at the bottom , and referenced, how is that an ‘un-cited outside source’? It is literally THE source. And he talks about the ‘why’ you seek

If we included the transcript of his comments, would that fix this for you?

And I did the title combining the ‘win’ which Grace writes and the feeling from Forbes comments, again, with the article.

Tommy, obviously some of the posters find it to be an unsatisfying article, but also don't state why it's an unsatisfying article other than to state that it doesn't elaborate about what was unsatisfying about the win. Frankly, I'm highly dissatisfied with this whole discussion.
