After four challenging teams, the Rutgers team has shown a lot of toughness. This team deserves an easy game.

That's the Ivy League 1st game curse. Open the season against teams that had played 2 or 3 games already. No prior games Princeton loses to Penn State and then beats Maryland the next week.

I believe the league was 2-5 last week and 7-0 this week.

The way the team is built it’s going to be a lot of cardiac games. Guys gave great effort today and made the play when they needed to. This isn’t the 2022 team with men at every position. Grinder games will be the norm. Good news is college lacrosse seems as wide open as I can ever recall. There are a couple of teams heads above the others but there are no super teams.

We've led in the 4th quarter in all 4 games and are 3-1. The good news is we are going to grow up fast having played a lot of close games thus far. Good experience.

Lots of areas to learn and improve on. Good to do that after a W. Our situational awareness needs to continue getting better. At the end of the quarter we had a 3 goal lead and the ball. Instead of going into the half up 7-4, we make an ill advised pass creating a score off a turnover then lose the face off and they score again. We can absorb that against Villanova but not in B1G play. The margins are that much smaller. It’s a lot to ask Kurdyla to do so much but either he or Murphy need to take control in those situations. Bleed the clock until 15 seconds then run offense. Or not and take it to 0.

Yes I was thinking this multiple times throughout the game especially when we were clearing. Collectively we need to add a couple more points to our lacrosse IQ as we start to force things when play breaks down which then compounds the issue.

It will get better. We don't have a true QB at the attack spot and that's where it's most noticed. Someone to control the game and situations like that. Guaranteed they are going over it in film. It will be more evident as the guys get more comfortable in the offense. You can see they are thinking instead of playing. As the comfort level and grows, so will better decision making. Brian likes to let the team learn early in the season in in-game situations.

I would guess that if / when Aiello comes back Vorang would move to X? Still not ideal but Aiello is a prototypical lefty hammer, Kurdyla could obviously do It but you want him above GLE as much as possible and Vorang is probably our second best offensive weapon at this this point so you don’t want to lose that. Probably not his best position but he has good field vision and can initiate.

Aiello will play out of the midfield. He was a middie all the way up to last year.
